Season 2: Series 10: Episode 4- Dating a Draft, Not a Person
April 12, 2026
This series explores the idea that we embark on a journey to understand that potential is not a promise; there must be a connection that requires presence.
We talk a lot about connection. About chemistry. That feeling of having met someone who sees us, gets us, and makes something in us come alive. But sometimes... we are not connected to a person. We are connected to the belief in their potential. We fall in love with the version of them they could become, if only they healed, tried, or got serious. However, the truth is that you were not in a relationship with them. You were in a relationship with a draft of them.
It is like falling for a top draft pick who never shows up to practice. The raw talent is there. The hype. The clips. They discuss how well they could play the game. But every time it is game day, they disappear. Or make excuses. Or blame the coach. And you? You are still sitting in the stands, believing the season will start any day now. But connection is not built on scouting reports; it is built on shared effort. On playing the same game together.
Or it is like falling in love with someone's demo tape. The voice gives you chills. The lyrics hint at depth. You start imagining the album, the tour, the liner notes with your name in the credits. However, they never return to the studio. They never finish the song. You are in love with a melody they will not record, and suddenly you realize: You were the only one trying to bring the music to life. And connection? It needs more than a spark. It needs rhythm. Harmony. Commitment to creating something tangible together.
Here's what no one tells you:
Connection is not about what could be; it is about what is. It is about what is. It is built in the now; in presence, action, effort, response. You cannot create something lasting with someone who is still undecided about whether they want to be there. You cannot coach them into becoming the person you need them to be. And you cannot harmonize with someone who will not even pick up their instrument.
So ask yourself:
Are you in love with who they are, or who you hope they might become?
And if they never change… would you still choose this connection?
Because love is not about finishing someone else's draft.
It is about showing up entirely written, fully willing, and co-authoring something true. Whole person with whole person. This does not mean there is no creation and construction together; however, there are two distinct individuals in a relationship.
Some of the themes covered in this episode are:
Being uncomfortable and handling the emotions and tensions to be the best version of ourselves.
Trusting God and understanding certain things are not for me.
Having necessary conversations is essential.
Everything is a lesson and does not require commentary.
The concept of evolution and learning for transformation.
Pivot moments in my life that transform me into a better version of myself.
What we speak and the stories we tell ourselves, we must interrogate our thoughts, words, and stories!
Seeking external factors instead of internal for external opportunities.
Gardening and visionary elements metaphors.
Comparison is the thief of joy!

Season 2: Series 9: Episode 3- You Can be a Saint or Sinner: The Myth of Selflessness
January 11, 2026
This series explores the journey of understanding the myth of selflessness and our categorization as saints or sinners.
In this series, You Can Be a Saint or Sinner: The Myth of Selflessness, we will examine selflessness and how individuals can be both saints and sinners.
We are taught that putting ourselves first is selfish. That sacrifice is noble. That good people give, and bad people take. But what if that is not the whole story? What if those ideas are traps, rooted in tired tropes, that limit who we get to be and how we show up in the world? This series challenges the binary of selfish and selfless by examining how society, culture, and internalized narratives trap us in limiting identities. Through storytelling, reflection, and redefinition, we will examine how these labels are often used to control behavior, particularly among individuals socialized into care/service roles, such as educators, leaders, mothers, and community builders.
A trap in this series is:
A mental, emotional, or social pattern that limits your behavior, choices, or growth. Often internalized and unseen, traps shape what you think you should be or do.
A trope in this series is:
A commonly repeated story or character type. Tropes are shortcuts that simplify people into roles, like the "selfless caregiver" or the "selfish individual", without honoring complexity.
Absolute Thinking:
Binary or all-or-nothing beliefs (e.g., "You are either selfish or selfless"). These are traps in themselves because they do not allow for nuance, context, or evolution.
Some of the themes covered in this episode are:
Do we recognize the seasons in our lives?
Where do you need to be in this moment?
Watching sacrifice through role models.
Do not neglect yourself in the process of completing roles and responsibilities.
Enjoying the process of living and not just completing tasks.
Assessing your emotions.
What is making me think this way?
Having choice and voice in what you desire or need is essential.
Seeing the anointing without the formal title.
Not being attached to an outcome.
Blessings are wrapped up in opportunities and challenges.
Co-Host Biographies:
Jasmine A. Green, MAOL., is an inspiring, informative, and passionate advocate for individuals. With her extensive experience in personal development, she shares practical self-care and community engagement strategies that are both effective and accessible.

Season 2: Series 8: Episode 4- We Hold Ourselves Back: It Was Never About the Circumstances
November 30, 2025
Let me tell you a hard truth, one that sets you free. It was never about the circumstances. We hold ourselves back. Not because the world is impossible. Not because the resources do not exist. Not because we lack the intelligence, the calling, or the strength. But because somewhere along the way, we learned to build walls on the inside and then blamed what is externally out of reach.
I used to think,
"If I just had more time…"
"If someone would just see me…"
"If this situation were different…"
But I have come to learn this:
Circumstances are neutral.
What we bring to them are our belief systems, our fears, our patterns, and this defines whether we break or build. Whether we shrink or rise.
Two people can stand in the same storm.
One sees it as a reason to stop.
The other sees it as an opportunity to establish roots.
So it is not the storm.
It is the stories we tell ourselves.
The greatest battles we ever fight do not happen outside; they happen inside.
Fear shows up sounding reasonable:
"Now is not the time."
"You are not ready."
"Someone else is already doing it."
Self-doubt dresses itself in false humility:
"I am just being realistic."
"I do not want to make it about me."
"I do not know enough yet."
And then we hand over our power quietly, without even noticing.
Not because someone stole it, but because we never fully claimed it.
You were not built to live small.
Spiritually, we are told, 'You are more than a conqueror.'
Psychologically, we are aware of self-efficacy: the belief in one's ability to influence outcomes.
Neuroscience tells us our brains are wired to adapt, grow, and rewire, even after trauma.
Historically, every revolution, innovation, and shift has come from a person who decided to stop waiting.
So what makes us think we are the exception?
What holds us back is not our job, our upbringing, our money, or even our trauma; what holds us back is the belief that we cannot move because of those things.
That is the lie.
The myth of "If only…"
"If only I had more time."
"If only I had their resources."
"If only I were not so behind."
"If only someone would believe in me…"
But what if the truth is this:
You are someone.
You are the moment.
You are the answer you have been waiting for.
So I want to ask you:
Where are you giving your power away?
Where are you judging instead of being curious about why you keep stopping short?
What belief are you protecting that no longer serves who you are becoming?
Because here is the thing:
You were created for more.
No more pressure.
Not more perfection.
But more purpose. More alignment. More boldness.
You were built to rise, not retreat.
This week, do not wait for the world to change before you do.
Do not wait for perfect conditions! They are a myth.
Decide today: I will not hold myself back.
Say it with me:
It was never about the circumstances.
You were made for the breakthrough.
The permission slip is yours.
The only thing left to do is move.
This is your moment.
This is your time.
Let's go.
Some of the themes covered in this episode are:

Not more pressure.
Let's go.
