Many of Earth's religions may have been based on misunderstood and misinterpreted contact with alien races.  With the prospect of renewed contact looming large in the minds of many, we need to ask what that will mean.  How will alien contact change what we believe, or if we believe?  How will our societies and governments and religious institutions react?  Are humans, as a species, ready to redefine spirituality?
