KITTY O'NEAL is one of those Sacramento icons! For 37 years, O'Neal has been gracing us with her golden tones as the host of the afternoon news from 4-7 p.m. on KFBK 1530 AM (and 93.1 FM) in Sacramento. In fact, Kitty was part of the 100-year celebration for the long-standing radio station that was celebrated earlier this year. Sacramento is special to Kitty. And that is saying a lot coming from someone who grew up in a military family where stability never lasted long. And there is more. She sings in a band along with her husband Kurt Spataro. Yes, the same Spataro who is one of the exclusive Executive Chefs in Sacramento. In today's episode, we unveil it all and then some.

KAYLA DALE loves her job! Try this on for a title. Kayla is a Risk Reduction Officer at the Amador Fire Protection District. Yes! She works in an office. This soon-to-be mother has energy and confidence. Her passion turned into starting a non-profit called SMOKECHASERS which celebrate its second year in May with a festival that mixes family fun with an engaging way to prepare for and respond to emergencies. Oh yeah ... if that wasn't enough, Dale also is an independent leader in her side hustle called Mōdere.

JACKIE COURSEY is a LIFE COACH. Her coaching has a specialty with helping those with NEURODIVERGENT functions. What is neurodivergent? I am glad you asked. Neurodiversity describes people whose brain differences affect how their brain works. That means they have different strengths and challenges from people whose brains don't have those differences. The possible differences include medical disorders, learning disabilities and other conditions (ADHD, Autism, others). What a gift. And today, Jackie shares her insight on Experience the Buzz.

BRUCE + LORI ANAPOLSKY are part of an amazing family tradition. Since 1922, Julius Clothing has been in business in Sacramento. It started in 1922 when Grandfather Julius Anapolsky opened what is called a haberdashery on K Street. Bruce's parents Sam and Sharon took over the business in the 70's. Sacramento's Staple in High End Fashion was in Country Club Plaza before landing in its current home at Pavilions in Sacramento. Three generations! And what you will learn today will center around the 'EXPERIENCE' of walking through the doors of Julius Clothing. What a great way to celebrate Episode 100!

DANA GRAY has is ready to start a NEW adventure in real estate. After seven years in the business in the office and as an agent on a team, the Sacramento Native is starting her own team called the Gray Real Estate Team. Gray shares her exciting journey of growing up in Folsom, to traveling and modeling in Europe, to working in the office of Governor Gray Davis. How does any of that have to do with real estate? Exactly. Those pieces of her journey coupled with Gray's entrepreneur spirit has her in exactly the right spot and there is no doubt in my mind she will be successful. Today, you will find out why.

EPISODE 98 My podcast journey began in January 2021. Steve Buzzard loves the podcast world. With a background in broadcasting, Buzzardball was inspired by a few friends that also had podcasts (Thank you Deirdre Fitzpatrick + David Richards)! Experience the Buzz was born with one thought in mind ... spotlight ENTREPRENEURS, SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS, and PERSONALITIES from the Capital City of Sacramento! 97 episodes later and it has been a blast! DEIRDRE FITZPATRICK has been a fixture in Sacramento TV. Since the persistent and confident graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia arrived on the scene after her first job in Des Moines, Iowa. Since 1997, Fitzpatrick has been a part of the news team at KCRA Channel 3. She started as the Weekend News Anchor doing five hours of news on her own. That transitioned into her becoming the Morning News Anchor for many years with Walt Gray and currently with Teo Torres. In addition, Fitzpatrick has covered the last 12 Olympics and hosts her own podcast called "Dying to Ask." One word: IMPRESSIVE!

HOST STEVE BUZZARD on Deirdre Fitzpatrick |  "Deirdre knew from a very young age what she was going to be doing in her lifetime. And through what she shares, it is fascinating and inspiring that her determination, confidence, persistence, and will got her to where she wants to be as a TV anchor." • SEGMENT 1  📺 | focuses on Deirdre's journey to Sacramento. That's right. From watching Walter Kronkite with her dad and delivering Manhattans from mom's kitchen to landing in the Capital City in 1997.

It was a pivotal moment for Deirdre and what allowed her to make the decision to move to the Weekday Morning News Anchor position (after turning it down three times). It was VH's first album to reach NO. 1 and has a special place in the heart of the host. 

Our Connection |  I thought our first connection was through our work together at the California International Marathon Expo a few years ago. No .... Deirdre reminded me that our first encounter was at a Kid Birthday Party that I hosted when her now teeanger son was 6 or 7 years old.

CLIVE SAVACOOL spent over 25 years of his life as a First Responder. Five years as a paramedic was followed by time as a firefighter and then rising to the ranks of Chief Officer and eventually Fire Chief with Garden Valley Fire in South Lake Tahoe. On May 6th, 2022, Savacool decided to walk away from it all. The decision was two-fold. The grind and the stress of being a Fire Chief was weighing heavily on Savacool daily. The other reason is why we are here. Savacool developed an APP called LogRx that helps the tracking of narcotics in the field. Hard to believe that this is still done with pen and paper around the country which would tell you ... Savacool and the LogRx team are onto something. Today we explore it all. The app and life as a firefighter.

HOST STEVE BUZZARD on Clive Savacool |  "What struck me the most is Clive's ability to know when to walk away and welcome a new chapter in his life. He did that with motorcyle riding. He did that with what was a long career in firefighting. And now he is in a great space with something he invented out of his experience in the firefighting industry.  Our conversation hits TWO areas:
