MELISSA CAMILLERI started her career as a High School English Teacher. She loved teaching and being able to connect with her students. And then an idea that started as a fundraiser turned into a small business called Shop Compliment. That was 2011 and Melissa worked hard to ensure it was a success through fostering relationships and providing an amazing product (jewelry) and message (empowering young women). Through her journey, Melissa got married to husband Nick in 2015. That was followed by two boys that started the family (No. 3 is due in 2023 and it's a GIRL!). Then the pandemic hit. Melissa used the coaching leg of her business to develop what she has today called Stand for the And Education Company. Even more amazing is that she is co-owner with business partner Angela Greaser. Greaser lives in Maine and the two have never met in person. Today we get to hear Melissa's amazing journey and this amazing business she has created that truly has her stronger and better than ever!

CRISTINA MENDONSA spent 22 years as the evening news anchor at News 10.  A Carmichael native and a 30-year veteran in the world of news broadcasting, Mendonsa is currently the morning news anchor on the top morning show in Sacramento at KFBK and runs her own media company called Mendonsa Media. It is hard to believe that her and long-time co-anchor Dale Schornack sat in the News 10 chair for 19 years. But that all changed a few years ago when the company decided to go 'a different direction.' The two icons were no more. Didn't seem right. What is great about Cristina is that she could've been sad and gave up, but that simply isn't in her nature. You will love Cristina's story and will leave inspired!

BLAKE MCCALL has a great story to tell. McCall is the owner of the award winning Blake Charles Salon (formerly Joseph Cozza Salon) with locations in San Francisco and Granite Bay. Here is the best part. Going into the industry back in 2018, McCall knew nothing about hair salons. But what the Sacramento native was good at was professional development and what he has done in four years with a pandemic thrown in the middle of things has been truly remarkable and impressive. So how did he do it? We find out that answer and more today.

And lastly, I have taught his three daughters (Scarlett, Lily, and Taylor) at St. Michael's where I was a teacher for 26 years.

 KELLIE DeMARCO is a familiar face to many in the Sacramento area. For nearly nine years, DeMarco was the news anchor on KCRA Channel 3. Before Sacramento, she attended the University of Colorado and began her broadcasting career in Colorado Springs and Grand Junction before landing at Denver's KWGN. Once she got to Sacramento, it was clear that her talent shined as she earned Best Anchor Emmy's three times in her career as well as two Edward R. Murrow Awards for outstanding reporting. Then Kellie made a decision. She left TV news after 20 years for a new pursuit. Say hello to Kellie DeMarco Communications. How did DeMarco go from Colorado to California to a big shift in her life. SCOTT GILBERT has been doing his thing for 30 years! In 1992, a younger Gilbert opened Getta Clue Clothing Store which has been an institution in Sacramento when it comes to street fashion. In recent days, many might think of the iconic Spike Lee that serves as the entrance to Getta Clue in DOCO. The BIG NEWS is that Getta Clue is moving to Arden Fair to join Gilbert's other Clothing Store called Goodstock. This is nothing new to Gilbert, who shares that he has opened 21 different locations over the years. Today we find out his story.

RYAN DUEY and his business partner Michael Garrett are the owners of PLUNGE (It's a bath that has filtered water that starts at 39 degrees). With their  business based out of Lincoln, California Duey and Garrett did something pretty unique. While at an X-Games Event, the duo was asked to go on the highly acclaimed show that entrepreneurs LOVE (including me) ... SHARK TANK! It gets better. They got a deal with Shark Robert Herjavec. Imagine that. And today ... we find out that story and what is behind the success of PLUNGE.

AMY VARAIN is regarded as one of the top wedding coordinators in Northern California. And in today's episode you are going to see why. Why hire a wedding coordinator? THE BANTER BROS PODCAST was the result of a group chat between four friends. Mostly sports-related, but truly no topic is off limits. I have had a peek into this craziness. And today, you get to meet the ORIGINAL FOUR. You know my sons Toph and Max Buzzard. They host the BANTER BROS PODCAST. Now add in Nick Hilton and Kirk Langley. MY BOYS TOPH + MAX BUZZARD are back! In February 2021, my sons launched the Banter Bro's sports podcast. They got a solid 10 episodes in and then ... life happened.
