Exploring The Myths Behind The Legends

So ... we decided to tackle the Netflix series dealing with the backstory of one of the most popular horror franchises in recent times. The result? Well, we were confused AF and could not agree on an explanation as to how or why things happened :P

With a long history of grief that includes, but is not limited to, kidnapping, abuse, infidelities, murder, mysterious disappearances, (and maybe even worm holes and time travel?!), The Cat Mansion is definitely one of the most haunted fictional locations in Japan. Listen in, if you dare ... but be warned. You might just end up feeling even more confused than you already do.

Mr. Brooks is the Man Of The Year :)

He has a gorgeous wife (but kinda ditzy), a loving daughter (or so it seems), a successful business (making boxes?), and he is widely respected in his community (money talks). He's pretty much the embodiment of the American dream!

Oh, and he's also a mass murderer who has an evil (but really cool) imaginary friend, so ... yeah.

It could be argued that this film isn't from the horror genre, but it still has elements that are worthy of analysis. Besides, we are joined by a guest commentator for the first time! So, sit back, relax, and find out if Mr. Brooks' uncanny intellect will prevail.

Asking the question "does this look infected?" has never been more appropriate as it was in this movie. A rare illness of questionable origin affects the citizens of South Korea, and our protagonists deal with it while on a speeding train. We see people rising to the occasion and others revealing their selfish nature. Which one would you be? And before you answer, are you completely sure?

*By the way, be aware that ninjas have a tendency to furiously chop onions all around you as you get near the end.*
