Inez Cook, a Nuxalk woman, was taken from her mother and Nuxalk Nation community during the Sixties Scoop.  Cook grew up in a loving home but always deeply yearned for her Indigenous culture and roots.  After seeing a sign about bannock on a highway, Cook decided to open a restaurant celebrating her Indigenous heritage.
