Amanda Chando is a stickler for details. She is also a maven when it comes to design. So, it is no surprise that she has a relatively new (and fastly expanding) business called details and design.

Fresh out of college and working in NY in the shoe industry, Amanda forged her love for, and curated a knack for fashion and design. After moving to Maryland, she realized burgeoning Annapolis was the perfect place to set up a small shop (or shoppe) on Fourth Street in Eastport. And shortly after that, she realized that not only could she sell home goods in the shoppe, but the demand was there for custom interior home design.

A new studio has opened around the corner, and the design part of details and design is creating beautiful spaces all over Maryland, Delaware, DC< and parts of Virginia. Quite a story that is still evolving!

Armed carjacking in Annapolis. Seventeen cars were broken into in one night in Annapolis. Jury finds that Harvey Blonder defrauded his investors and ordered him to pay them $9 million. Bird scooters and e-bikes will now be available at the mall and Annapolis Town Center and other areas outside of the City. The Bowie Baysox are glad to see Dan Snyder go, so they are having a celebration on Thursday night! And of course some pod news for you as well!

Intrinsic. In general terms, it means "essential;" but for Chris Ruggieri, it is the logical name for his marine company. 

In a most basic sense, Intrinsic is a boat dealer--new and pre-owned. When in reality, it is a lot more, and as the name implies, Chris wants his company to be intrinsic to the whole experience of boat ownership. 

From sales to service to advice, and yes, even provisioning. Chris and his team aim to be the single source for their customers' boating needs.

The boys of summer are back and swinging the bats.  Today, we headed out to the ballpark to speak with Adam Pohl, the Marketing Director for the Bowie Baysox to see what's on deck this year!

From fireworks every home Saturday, to woof Wednesdays, to special Navy nights, the Baysox is a perennial favorite for great family fun.
