Annapolis launches a new open data portal on their website. A new law designed to protect children from online privacy violations is in the works in the State House. Comptroller Lierman reminds us that a tax-free weekend is coming up for appliances. FAFSA and MSFAA applications are due, and MHEC has some serious money if you want it! It has been a fairly well-kept secret in Annapolis for years! Did you know we have an American Alliance of Museums-certified art gallery right here in town? Well, we do, and it was called the Mitchell Gallery.

Was? After a two-year closure due to COVID, it is back with a vengeance and a new name-- The Mitchell Art Museum at St. John's College.

Today, we speak with Peter Nesbett the new Director of the museum about what's been happening over the past two years, what will be happening when it opens up on February 17th, and what he envisions for this hidden gem nestled in the middle of the the St. John's College campus!

There is a new (and hopefully more responsive) spokesperson for the Annapolis Police Department. There was an earthquake that no one felt off the coast of Maryland. The Baltimore Banner claimed that Baltimore is the greatest pizza city in Anerica and it did not go over well with me or Reddit. A man had his car stolen and when he tried to get it back, he was robbed at gunpoint. Five Annapolis teens led police on a 17-mile chase after a traffic stop. The City of Annapolis has ordered two electric transit buses that will be here in the spring or summer of 2024. Anne Arundel County extended outdoor dining until January of 2024--this is NOT the City of Annapolis. Sports Betting Facility may be coming to Riva. Annapolis topped off the Hillman Garage and it is on schedule. They also bought to electric transit buses. The Anne Arundel County Food Bank got a huge donation from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints..a tractor-trailer delivery of meat. Lisa Masson has an amazing new exhibit at the Annapolis Maritime Museum & Park entitled Water's Edge. It is a photographic study of living and sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. And if you were thinking of kicking back and having a great time at the Oyster Roast and Sock Burning on the 18th of March and were gonna get tickets soon... come up with a Plan B.
