Eyes And Teeth

Paul Eastwood and I have mirrored each others careers over the last 25 years, dipping in and out of Talent Competitions, Television, performing on Cruise Ships, in Holiday Parks, Corporates, Pantomimes, Summer Seasons and both even hosted The Thursford Christmas Spectacular both 4 times each. We've both completed contracts in Cromer, The Eastbourne Hippodrome & Babbacombe Theatres and are both planning future Theatre Tours with our own Comedy Shows.
Paul however can add TV Warm Up to his repertoire and is comfortable taking command in any situation when he's holding a microphone.
Covid may have stopped the gigs, but it can never stop the talent of gag telling.
I speak to another pal in the Comedy World during another lockdown... Welcome Paul Eastwood

Tom Sutton is a class comedian. A real Pro who has been there on TV, around the World on the finest Cruise Liners, in Corporates and the Cabaret & Club circuit.
His stories are sublime and although we only worked together once, we have kept in touch ever since. Tom is Topical, slick and very clever in delivery but his writing is fantastic to boot.
He tells some brilliant stories here and I love his meeting with Victor Borge.
This is a cherished chat I'm extremely pleased to present to you on the New Season of Eyes & Teeth Season 5.

Jess Conrad, Movie Actor, Pantomime Star, Pop Star, Pin Up, Entertainer, Personality, Jess has done it all.

Over the phone we hear stories of Bob Monkhouse, Frankie Vaughan, growing up in Hackney, the reason why he quit Pantomime Roger Moore and talk of his first extra part in Reach for the Sky with Kenneth Moore, listen to Jess Conrad’s audition for James Bond!!! Its bittersweet for him but a  great story along with many more including his OBE handover and stories of The Grand order of Water Rats.
Jess is a legend of British Showbusiness who hung out with Cliff and Tom, (that's Jones not the Captain) he has earned his reviews, laughter and applause and screaming girls in the Pop world and is the original Harry Styles. So I hope you enjoy this 70 minutes or more talking to Jess Conrad OBE

Keith Simmons is a Comedy Writer, Recording Artist, Pantomime Veteran, One member of the Comedy Double Act Simmons and Simmons formerly known as The Simmons Brothers. With TV and Radio moments with Sir Ken Dodd, Des O Connor OBE, collaborations with Roy Hudd OBE and HRH Prince Phillip, Keith is very well known in our industry and has the stories to tell it.
Past King Rat Keith was kind with his time to me as a young comedy act and they say that you never forget that and I never have.
Now he is a Brother through the Grand Order (www.gowr.net) and we see each other at shows, events and in Lodge now and again where Showbusiness is forever kept alive and memories are strong for Entertainers before us.
But we also look to the future and cherish the young stars coming up as they are the ones who will carry on "our" legacy and it goes on.
But for now sit back and enjoy the memories today created by the one and only Keith Simmons

Dave Brock has been in the music and comedy business for over 40 years, he is a well seasoned performer and as I find out has an extensive knowledge of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys and if it weren't for Eyes & Teeth being solely about Comedy & variety we would probably still be talking today about the Beach Boys.
We talk about Comedy and our own TV Talent Show experiences and our time in the Water Rats.
In 2017 I hosted a Trip to Vevey, Switzerland to Chaplin's Museum which has been on my bucket list and I went twice within 3 years. It was on this trip I got to know Dave more and find out we have more common interests.
He is a talented man and is great at Quizzes too. Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Dave Brock

Derek Martin is a very recognisable face, he's the uncle we all want and I'm lucky to know him amongst other very talented people in The Grand Order of Water Rats.
From stories of Music Hall & variety to work with Neil from the Young Ones and hanging out with Hollywood Royalty to Eastender's and enjoying the company of Shane Ritchie and more.
Derek's stories are fascinating, not just the people he's worked alongside but its so nice hearing about how much he appreciates his career, he's thankful and proud and if you're wondering what "he's one of the good guys" actually means? By the time this chat is over you'll know what i mean... Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Derek Martin

Frazer Hines is a British Actor known Worldwide for his part as Jamie in Doctor Who and his constant travelling around the world in Sci-Fi Conventions. To me though he was a well known face in Emmerdale farm, oh yes I remember when Emmerdale had animals and characters such as Seth Armstrong and Mr Wilkes. I loved these characters. It wasn't until I got to know Frazer in the Water Rats that I saw his natural comedy ability. We have a similar sense of humour, he is a very quick witted man with a great sense of humour and over the years has not only worked with some great comedy names but he was one of the busiest child actors in his time. Frazer has so many memories to share and we couldn't leave out his scene in Chaplin's last ever movie King of New York.

Adger Brown is one of my oldest mates. We met in my first Showbusiness season in Barry Island in 1993 decades before Gavin & Stacey did, as a matter of fact we are probably the "original" Gavin & Stacey but without the heavy petting and arguing. I realised how down to earth, genuine and loyal Adger is and that had resulted in us becoming Brothers in The Grand order. Adger is very well respected in the Sporting Dinners and Golf Events World and has literally helped raise millions of pounds over the years. Being a Stand Up has its skills and Adger delivers that with ease on stage which is clearly evident but he also has those rare skills to Auction serious bids off to happy audience members whether they are the CEO of a Top Company or a Star in the World of Entertainment, we trust Adger, he has that honest persuasive delivery that encourages maybe a 90 year old lady to pay £800 for an abseiling day out or a Vegetarian to enjoy a weekend in an abattoir. OK, that has never happened but you get what I'm saying, Mr Brown is THAT good!
Now listen in to see how he deals with his audiences. Welcome Adger Brown

Kev Orkian - Where do I start? Kev kindly took some time to talk to me away from his businesses running Howlin Entertainment, The British Pantomime Academy, Jongleurs Group as well as touring the World with his Comedy Stage Show, playing characters in pantomime, talking to Ricky Grover on their spooky podcast "the Goosebumpers",.
I met Kev on a few shows in the past I think just over 10 years ago, one of them at Her Majesty's Theatre London featuring Brian Conley, Sam Kane, Sir Cliff Richard and many more, have a listen to a funny behind the scenes story with Cliff and another with Dame Edna. Kev continues to spread positivity and laughter keeping pro-active more than ever in these strange times we're living through.
There is much laughter...

Tom Jones, Rob Brydon and Mike Doyle are three very talented people to come from Wales, today I talk to Mike Doyle but I get all three and more as his voices are vast in range.
Mike delivers today not only brilliant backstage stories of Bob Monkhouse and Freddie Starr and early talk of touring the Clubs with his bands but you will hear impressions and song and learn much more about an incredibly hard working and modest performer who I have admired for 28 years. Mike is known as Baby Rat in The Grand Order of Water Rats which means he was the last to be proposed into the order before the lockdown.

He is an incredible asset to the GOWR and I look forward to working with him more in the future. www.mikedoyle.co.uk
