Episode Notes: What does it take to keep showing up in the face of adversity when there are no answers?
After a long break and with some help from long time friend and host of The Stable Cyclist, John Peter, we connect with Nathan Stoa, head basketball and cross country coach at Hawley High School in Minnesota.
We start with what has made the programs he has coached successful and why high care is critical in that process. We then dive into what happens when things outside of your control have an outsized effect on what is going on in your life. Coach Stoa speaks to how he was able to wade through the mental and emotional crisis that followed a challenging, public family situation.

Episode Notes: As performers we often assume that getting simple means going backward. What if we thought about it differently? What if what's needed is an update to a simpler process? In this episode we dive into that concept from a bunch of different perspectives.

Episode Notes: We welcome back our former co-host, performance coach and mental health professional, John Shirkey. John and I dive into who we might become when we allow ourselves to forget our past. Or when we chose to focus our attention on the little moments rather than the big or special ones. We then discuss how so many of the structures in our life support or create a benefit in order to drive those behaviors. John draws out this amazing idea of "yes, and." We become better when we realize that two things can and should be true.

Episode Notes: Orlando Ponce of Ponce Trained Wrestling joins us to discuss the ways they are helping grow the sport of wrestling. He tells us how he took an unexpected path to wrestling and how coaches and siblings showed him what was possible. We then highlight how they have gotten creative about attacking the problem at the source, developing a curriculum for educators to follow to teach wrestling and then using that curriculum for their in-person camps for elementary students. There are some awesome challenges in this episode that can help us think about how to match our skills, our passion and what's possible.
