  • Everyday is a battle with myself

This was a difficult episode because I started this episode with a goal in mind but as I talked you will begin to hear my cognitive distortion disrupting my train of thought and attempt to hijack my positive mindset with negativity.  In this episode I will also show you how I use mindfulness deep-breathing exercise to overcome anxiety attack.  And you will hear me talking about mental health and personal hygiene.

  • Interviewing Myles R. Walker
It was a pleasure to talk to Myles R. Walker about his experience growing up with Tourette's in Connecticut and later Tennessee. We get to hear Myles talking about the real TS struggles in the POC community. We talked a lot about ignorance and how important it is to educate the community about Tourette's syndrome and comorbidities.

  • Suddenly I'm tic free
This medicine I am taking for Bipolar has also wiped away all my tics. In all honesty I wanted to regulate my manic and depression but after 30 years with Tourette I think my Tics add appeals lol.
Now both my motor and vocal tics are hardly there.
    I do feel strange.
As a TS advocate suddenly I am now advocating verbally without pausing for any tics feel strange.
But I just seems to forget about ticcing.
I was diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome ADHD and OCD at 12 and medicated for 8 years but the tics never totally disappeared.
I stopped meds for 20 years. Today I am on meds to treat my bipolar 1 and depression in the form of a newer antipsychotic.
And for the first time in 20 years since I stopped my previous med, I'm on med for some other specturms and I'm at nearly Tic free.

  • Korean Shamanism
My faith lies with Korean Shamanism which is combination of indigenous Korean folk shamanic practice, Chinese Taoism and Buddhism.   We don't have a church to go to. The basis of our faith is ancestral worship.  We have a temple at home with an offering table overlooking a Tanka pantheon of gods.  There is an origin story too plus a destination.  The best thing about my faith is I don't need to answer to anyone else but the gods and spirits.  Some Christians might see our folk practice as "devil worshiper" and I'll tell them "Yeah keep thinking that way LOL".  As a person with Tourettes ADHD and Bipolar I find my Shamanic faith very inclusive of being human. It's not the religion but it's about the people.  In this Episode I will share some experience in how I became a practitioner of Korean Shamanism.
