Bobby Barnes, Head of Quant Index Solutions, joins us again for a look at factors in focus right now. Lately we’ve also heard about sectors and factors from Etienne Joncas-Bouchard, Denise Chisholm, and others. Today, Bobby points out to host Pamela Ritchie that a Fidelity advantage is that there is no “house view”, and there are complementary and contrasting views on all topics, which leads to some engaging discussions. Also today, Bobby looks at the probability of a mid-cycle slowdown in 2022, and how consumer’s purchasing power is being pinched due to the differences in wage growth and inflation. Additionally, Bobby highlights it is important to look at companies with positive earnings revisions, noting some factors with positive earnings revisions include Momentum, Low Volatility, and Quality.
