I'm sure this is a story we have all heard before, but it is also a fascinating study of the human condition. Not wanting to look stupid sometimes leads us to look stupid. Yep, been there! Tonight's story is The Emperor's New Clothes by Hans Christian Anderson. I hope it makes you very Fairy Sleepy! Until next time, goodnight!

Do Dragons have Grandmothers? I'm guessing yes! Tonight's short story is about a dragon and his grandmother who foils her grandson's rotten plans. Ah, family! Written by Andrew Lang, The Dragon, and his Grandmother is a short story about tricks and riddles, and I hope it makes you very Fairy Sleepy! Until next time goodnight!

Fairies and Merlin lore? Yes, please! All I know is that if I were dancin' with Fairies, I'd look like Elaine from Seinfeld, so I'll be avoiding any crags of Merlin or otherwise! I hope you enjoy tonight's story, The Fairies of Merlin's Crag, from The Scottish Fairy Book, by Elizabeth W. Grierson. Until next time, goodnight!

Ever peeped at a Pixie? Me neither, because bad things happen! Tonight's Halloween story isn't especially scary unless having a Cornish Pixie and a bunch of Spriggans coming after you on Halloween night sounds scary. Frankly, it sounds terrifying! No worries, tonight's story isn't scary, but then again, it is Halloween week! Until next time, good night!

Are you a dog person? Me too! Tonight's story, while a bit sad and a bit ghostly, is also a reminder that our best friends will be waiting for us at the gate written by Myla Jo Closser, and I hope it makes you very Fairy Sleepy! Until next time goodnight!

Can ghost stories ever be funny? According to Washington Irving, they actually can! Do not fear; tonight's story, The Specter Bridegroom, from Irving's book A Traveler's Tale, is one such story. A ghost story that isn't scary. A scary tale that isn't ghosty! Either way, you shouldn't be kept awake with fear; that defeats the purpose of Fairy Sleepy. So, go ahead and shut off the light, and I hope the story makes you very Fairy Sleepy. Until next time, goodnight!

This is for my husband on our anniversary, I love you and your love of golf! Have you ever fallen asleep while watching golf on television? Yeah, me too! Tonight's story The Charm of Golf is a short story written by A.A. Milne perhaps best known for his stories of the Hundred Acre Wood and Winnie the Pooh. Like all authors, the tendency to muse about life and sport will almost always land somewhere on a blank page. If you love golf, this story and a bit about the history of golf may be something you want to stay awake for, if not sweet dreams. Either way, I hope it helps make you very Fairy Sleepy. I'm off to go watch golf uh...take a nap.
Next week is my birthday and being an October baby may cause me to look for things of the spookier variety as we enter the Halloween season so I'll have a new and longer story for you next week. Until next time, goodnight!

Does guided meditation/visualization work better to help you drift off to sleep? For some, it helps to focus on breathing and guided visualization to drift off to sleep. This bonus episode is guided to help you relax and, sleep rather than a story. If you like it and want to hear more email me at [email protected] and I'll write some more. If it isn't your cup of tea no worries! That's why I do stories every Wednesday night and that won't stop. Trying to help as many sleep as well as possible and always looking to expand into new areas and concepts. I hope the sleepy train makes you very, Fairy Sleepy. Goodnight!

A golden bearded dwarf with a really bad temper but some cool magical items, a dragon, a magic horse, a prince, and a princess can only mean one thing...all the elements of a good old-fashioned Fairy Tale! Tonight's story is The Dwarf with the Golden Beard from the book "Wonder Tales from Many Lands" by Katharine Pyle.
After all this talk of dragons and dwarves, I'm off to go binge-watch the new episodes of the House of Dragon and the Rings of Power until bedtime! Who's with me?
After that, I hope the story makes you very, Fairy Sleepy. Until next time, goodnight!
