Faith and More Podcast

Join me this week as we explore The Buddha! Especially what he was and was not!  There are so many misconceptions amongst non-Buddhists as to what he was and was not. Also, many faiths give misleading information to keep members away from Buddhism. Why?  Have a listen and you will find out!

Welcome to the August Edition of The Book Nook! This month we talk about the Diocese of Columbus ousting Priests from a church that has been around for 66 years.  Why, you might ask?  Well, you'll have to listen to find out. I also share updates on the show and what I'm up to these days! You won't want to miss this episode of The Book Nook!

Also, for the season finale episode, I talk about doing a show about our pets - our fury (and non-fury) loved ones (past and present) that give us that unconditional love. We can learn so much from them!  Please send stories about your little babies and what they meant/mean to you! I will share these stories in the Season 3 finale episode!

There's SO much I want to share with ALL of you!  However, I do not want to take up too much of your time. I love reading/studying books/sacred texts, prayer/meditation, music, incense, essential oils, and much more!  Once a month I will be uploading an episode of "The Book Nook" where I will share these and more things with you!  It will also be a good filler for a mid-week/mid-month when you just can't wait for another episode!

This week we take a fascinating look at a fairly new faith/religion. At least, in this day and age.  It is Jediism! Founded in 2005...this is an actual religion. Not Sci-Fi, Fan Fiction, or Cosplay. What's even more fascinating are the correlations between Jediism and the Mystics (or Way of the Mystics)!  This is a really interesting, fascinating, and eye-opening episode you won't want to miss!

Welcome to our 50th episode/show!  It's storytime this week!  I share an amazingly DEEP story by Neil Donald Walsch! Originally from Neil's book "Conversations With God," now a children's book as well (links below). There are so many levels and layers to this little story. I pray you all love it and benefit from it as I have!

Infinite thanks and blessings to Father Mike Cantor for introducing this story to me via his Truly Amazing podcast...Logic and The Bible (links below)!

Welcome to episode B of this week's two episodes!  I know...stranger than strange, right?  Well, go back and listen to the show before this one...episode 8A and you'll get the full story of why there are two episodes this week.

As promised, in Episode 19 of Season 2, here is the story of the little Saint (Yes, I consider her to be a Saint) that passed away after having her first Holy Communion. This story is certainly fantastical!  But, it is also VERY true.

Though we don't have much information on Blessed Imelda, the little we do have is so VERY powerful!  Have a listen!

Welcome to episode A of two episodes this week!  I know...really strange, right?  No worries...I explain it all at the beginning of this episode.

This week we learn about one of my most favorite Saints!  Her name is Amma and she is sometimes known as the "Hugging Saint." Amma's story and ALL that she does (still today) is beyond Truly Amazing!  She is such an incredible inspiration!  Have a listen and get to know...Amma!

This week's show is a type of Part 2 to last week's show. So, if you find yourself here and have not already listened to last weeks show please go and listen to that show first. It really frames this episode well.

So, this week, I will share with you a very valuable and easy meditation practice that will help you ground, protect, cleanse, heal and recharge!  This practice is a life changer!  I will take you step-by-step through the practice and then lead you through a guided meditation of this practice.

I mentioned another guided meditation that I created back in 2004 called "Creating A Place of Peace." Here is a link to that guided meditation that will also help you each and every moment of each and every day. Enjoy!

This week we explore Angels, the Three Spheres, Nine Choirs and Seven Archangels!  There's so much information available on Angels, depending on your faith.  We will explore just a little of the large amount of information on Angels in the Christian, Jewish and Islamic faiths.  No doubt, we will have more shows on Angels. But this is a good one to get you started!
