Faith and More Podcast

I'm very happy to share with you all this week my favorite Roman Catholic Pope, Saint Pope John Paul II!  Saint Pope John Paul II was ordained in 1946, became the bishop of Ombi in 1958, and became the archbishop of Krakow in 1964. He was made a cardinal by Pope Paul VI in 1967, and in 1978 became the first non-Italian pope in more than 400 years. He was a vocal advocate for human rights and used his influence to effect political change. He died in Italy in 2005. It was announced in July 2013 that he would be declared a saint in April of the following year.

Moses the Black, also known as Abba Moses the Robber, the Ethiopian, and the Strong, was an ascetic monk and priest in Egypt in the fourth century AD, and a notable Desert Father. According to stories about him, he converted from a life of crime to one of asceticism. There is SO much we can learn from Saint Moses. Have a listen and you'll see for yourself!

Father Solanus had a very rough life. But, his faith and love for humankind got him through. Have a listen to his story!  It is one that will truly inspire and encourage you - no matter your faith!
