Are you ready to let your podcast dreams take flight? With your very own free podcast episode builder workbook, streamlining your podcasting journey has never been easier. I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be creating this essential resource for all you budding podcasters out there. Let's venture together into the exciting world of podcasting.  Stay tuned for availability and how to get your hands on your copy.

Our spiritual journey continues with an enlightening exploration of the metaphorical fruits we bear in life. The acts God has guided us towards, the secret places and burdens we share, they all contribute to the spiritual produce of our lives. Through personal anecdotes of growing kalo plants and a mango tree, we unpack this complex concept and reflect upon the impact of our actions on others, particularly our children and our communities.

Ever pondered over the role of God as the gardener of our lives? In this episode, we discuss the significance of God and prayer, likening them to the gardener nurturing us and the soil nourishing our roots, respectively. We also explore the living water of Christ, its spiritual essence, and how it sustains our thirst for Him. The wisdom from above, as described in James 1:5 and 3:17, further deepens our understanding of spiritual growth, emphasizing its essential role in cultivating the fruits of our lives. Be prepared to seek wisdom, cultivate fruit, and cherish your personal growth in Christ.

  • S6E52:Finding Your 'Secret Place': The Power of Solitude and Connection with God

As the school year swings into full gear, a hectic household of six kids reminds me how vital it is to find sacred moments of solitude and connection with God. Amid the chaos, I found a renewed zeal for podcasting and, in this episode, I recount an unplanned office overhaul that served as a metaphor for reclaiming personal space, both physically and spiritually. Believe me, make time in your busy day to connect with God in your unique sanctuary, it can change the way you live.

Creating your own quiet space, a 'secret place,' can have a profound impact on your spiritual journey. I share my transformational experience, which took me from sharing my burdens with others to being drawn into a personal sanctuary with God. Hear how this shift has not only bolstered my relationship with God but ignited a fierce drive to spread His Word. You'll discover the power of balancing time with God and time with others, and how Matthew 6:6 can guide you to this equilibrium.

We round off this episode by acknowledging that our strength and approval should come from God, not people. In doing so, we can help others and ourselves. No matter where you find solace - be it your car, your office, or a corner of your home - the key is to create a space for God and allow Him to inspire and guide you. Remember, Galatians 5:10 reminds us that the approval we seek should be God's. So, let us explore together how to find your 'secret place' and draw strength and courage from it.

    Scriptures in today's episode
    Matthew 6:6
    Romans 5:3-5
    James 4:8
    Isaiah 44:2
    Isaiah 41:10
    Proverbs 3:5-6
    Galatians 5:10

  • S6E51:Unlocking Divine Freedom through Shared Burdens and Prayer

Prepare for an exciting journey as I bring you on an exploration of faith, prayer, and the power of community. Can you imagine the strength in sharing and supporting each other through life's struggles? Through my personal experience, I discovered incredible peace from carrying each other's burdens, a concept I can't wait to delve deeper into with you.

Ever felt a sense of prayer shame, like you're struggling to connect with God? You're not alone. I have been there too, and I'm thrilled to share my experiences with a 52-week prompted prayer journal that transformed my relationship with prayer. Amidst work challenges and generational issues, the Holy Spirit guided me to pray with my family, creating a profound bond that transcends our individual struggles.

God's plan for our lives can seem mysterious, can't it? But imagine the power of understanding that everyone in our lives, including our families and friends, is a part of that divine plan. I had an awe-inspiring experience of God's grace through sharing my burdens and supporting others. This episode is also about the liberation and freedom Christ has given us. It's an invitation to open your hearts and minds to His word and to act on His calling. So, are you ready for this spiritual adventure?

  • S5Ep49: Revelation in Holy Week (the days leading up to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ)

    Aloha friends,

I am so excited and moved really to be here on the podcast again through the moving of the Holy Spirit! This week is a HOLY WEEK as we are in the days leading up to the day of Jesus's death and his resurrection for our lives. I can honestly say I have never been more excited to learn about this week and allow the Holy Spirit to fill me up in it because learning as an adult how wonderful this story and this truth really is, is enough to fill me and fuel me for a lifetime.
Today as I was doing my daily devotional starting my day off right I came to have a beautiful revelation on this holy Wednesday, it's the day that Jesus reveals he knows what's about to happen to him and he knows who will put the plan into action of his death and resurrection, and even when he knows and he understands what is about to happen he keeps going and he acknowledges that this is what has to happen in order for many of us to be saved. He doesn't run, he doesn't try to change the outcome or stop it he allows it to happen as planned and I don't know about you but I am not that brave, if I could avoid a toe stub I would, but Jesus is perfect and wonderful and endures suffering and death to defeat death itself for me and for you!!
Join me today as we get fired up and ready for resurrection Sunday!!

    Scriptures in today's episode
2 Corinthians 12:10:  That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ.  For when I am weak, then I am strong.

John 12: 8: "You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me." (Jesus said this)

John 13:21-28:  Now Jesus was deeply troubled, and he exclaimed, "I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me!" The disciples looked at each other, wondering whom he could mean.  The disciple Jesus loved was sitting next to Jesus at the table.  Simon Peter motioned to him to ask, "Who's he talking about?" So that disciple leaned over to Jesus and asked, "Lord, who is it? Jesus responded, "It is the one to whom I give the bread I dip in the bowl."  and when he had dipped it, he gave it to Judas, son of Simon Iscariot.  When Judas had eaten the bread, Satan entered into him.  Then Jesus told him, " Hurry and do what you're going to do." None of the others at the table knew what Jesus meant.

  • S5E48: Parenting through Generational Curses

    Aloha folks,
I know that this topic has popped up a few times on the podcast and maybe it is a little repetitive. I found God challenging me in this season to talk more openly and freely about generational curses in a more specific light like parenting or marriage.  It was a little scary at first and I took a little while to record this episode, but the strength of the Holy Spirit was great and allowed me to record this episode.  I hope that you can find truth and encouragement in this episode.  If you feel like you are in this season with me I just want you to know that God is with us all and that we can break generational curses by choosing something different.

beginning quote:  "The Holy Spirit has come to live in you like a river, not like a pound.  A river.  flows and moves freely.  A pond sits and moves freely.  A pond sits and moves now and A river reaches out to new places and nourishes new ground.  A pond is self-contained and can become stagnant.  The love of God in you first comes to bless and enrich your life, but its course is to flow out from within you to touch and enrich other hearts." -Roy Lessin

    Scriptures:

    1. Romans 7:25:  Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord! So you see how it is. In my mind, I really want to obey God's law but because of my sinful nature, I am A slave to sin.

    2. Romans 5:8: God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

    3. Exodus 20:5-6:  You must not bow down to them or worship them for I the Lord your God am A jealous god who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods.   I lay the sins of their parents upon their children the entire family is affected.  Even children in the thrid and fourth generations.  Of those who reject me.  But I lavish unfailing love for a thousand generations of those who love me and obey my commands.

    Aloha friends,

Welcome back to Faith In Between, today I want to talk about JOY and Finding Joy in all the things that we do in our lives.   I know we sometimes like to believe that in order to find the joy we need to do something crazy and outrageous or dangerous, but I can assure you, there is joy all around you in your everyday life.  I'll talk to you about what I find joy in my days and how I have been linking God and what I do together for lasting JOY!

    My Joys
    -Being a Homemaker
    -Working at Paradise Cove
    -Handwriting
    -conversation
-making Lei Po'o (Haku or flower crown)

    Scriptures
    1. Proverbs 17:22: A cheerful heart is a good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength.

    2. Romans 14:16-18: Then you will not be criticized for something you believe is good.  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of what we eat or drink, but of living a life of goodness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  If you serve Christ with this attitude you will please God and others will approve of you, too.

    3. Colossians 3:23:  Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you are working for the Lord and not for people.

    4. Ecclesiastes 3:12-13:  I concluded that there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can.  And people should eat ad drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God.

  • S5Ep46: The Master with the Master Key

    Aloha Friends,
Thank you so much for joining me on today's episode, Season 5 Episode 46 of Faith In Between.  Today we are talking about unlocking the places in our life that just feel locked to us.  I had a conversation with Christ and he brought me to analogy of how in our lives we have locks; locks on our lives and specific areas or circumstances in our lives that make us feel trapped or stuck in a spot we don't want to be in anymore.  Here is the amazing thing God is the Master with the master key to our locks. All of them.
I know we can all feel stuck in our lives when it comes to working, family, finances, faith etc, and God sees our struggle, he knows what w struggle with and he has the key for us to unlock it all.

Join me as we unpack this crazy and amazing truth that God wants for us to know and understand.

    Scriptures in episode
Proverbs 14: 23:  Work brings profit, but mere talk leads to poverty

Proverbs 15:19: A lazy person's way is blocked with briers, but the path of the upright is an open highway.

  • S5E45: Faith In Between 2022&2023 Disturb us, Lord a poem by Francis

    Aloha family and friends,

this is our last and final episode for the year 2022, I know it hasn't been consistent and in the least bit "entertaining" for you folks these past few months and I do apologize for that.  My season has been a little exhausting with a new home and a new job all in the same year.  Crazy is an understatement, to say the least, but non the less I still cherish my podcast and I am ramping up to bring you, folks, lots more in 2023.  I'm not sure what God has in store so I won't make any set-in-stone promises, but I can assure you that whatever happens in 2023 will be led by Christ and founded upon Christ.  I appreciate the support and love that you have shown the podcast over the past few years and ask that you extend grace and patience as you witness firsthand the work that God is doing in my life.

Today I want to share with you folks a poem/prayer that I recently came in contact with through a book that we will be reading in the coming weeks with my Church.  The book is called, Un-Common Life by Art Sepulveda our senior pastor at Word of Life Christian Fellowship.  Tucked within the first few pages of this book I had the pleasure of reading this beautiful poem/prayer that pastor Art used to beautifully display his point of needing to be awakened in this critical time.  I thought it perfect as we end out the year 2022 and step into the year 2023 to read, ponder and depict this short poem/prayer to help fuel us into the new year.

I hope you folks enjoy today's wonderful episode and I hope that your new years eve and new Year are safe, beautiful, and blessed.

Mahalo for listening to and supporting the podcast! From my family to yours ALOHA!! 2023 here we come!!

    Poem/Prayer by Sir Francis Drake.

    Disturb Us, Lord

Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves,
When our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little,
When we arrive safely because we sailed too close to the shore.

Disturb us, Lord, when with the abundance of things we possess,
we have lost our thirst for the waters of life,
having fallen in love with life, we have ceased to dream of eternity,
and in our efforts to build a new earth,
we have allowed our vision of the new heaven to dim.

Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture on wilder seas,
Where storms will show your mastery,
Where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars.
We ask you to push back the horizon of our hopes,
and to push us into the future in strength,
    courage, hope, and love.
This we ask in the name of our Captain who is Jesus Christ.
