Welcome back to Faith In Between I know it has been a few weeks since I last connected with your folks and I can honestly say God has been working on me through and through these past few weeks.   I hope you can understand that I'm more of a quality kind of person not so much a quantity.  God is pulling me to grow in places I never wanted to before and honestly, was okay if I never did.  
Not anymore my friends. The Journey God has me on is one that I am so excited and honored to be a part of.  won't you join me today?

It's Ui and we are back again with another episode of Fatih In Between.  Today we catch up on  A LOT! we also continue with 1 John 2 18-29 and 1 John 3 the full chapter (it's a short one I promise). But within these two chapters, we hear about the anti-Christ as well as loving others and how God is calling us to be vigilant of both in our lives.  I know personally, it isn't always sunshine and rainbows in my own life so I pray for all of us as we continue on this (re) discovering journey of Christ and who he is calling us to be in our lives today as new believers or as long time believers who are rededicating our lives back Christ.

Main ideas of Ch.2 18-27: Warning Concerning Antichrists (title of the section in my bible)
                                Ch 2: 28-29 & Ch3:1-10: Children of God
                                Ch 3: 11-24: Love One Another.

Key Points/definitions (taken from the study bible)

1. To abide in Jesus means living in a daily, close relationship with him, characterized by trust, prayer, obedience, and joy.  the Holy Spirit's presence and activity within Christians give evidence that they are abiding in Christ.

2. 2:20: anointed by the Holy One: Spiritually transformed by the Holy Spirit.

3. 2:24: What you heard from the beginning: The authentic message of Christ's death for sin and his defeat of death.

4. 3:20:  Whenever our heart condemns us: Whenever one has an inward conviction of sin.  the fact that God is greater than our heart assures us that he has forgiven us through the atoning death of Christ.

5. 3:21:  A clear conscience leads to boldness and confidence before God in prayer.

6. 3:22: Whatever we ask we receive:  Because we keep his commandments implies a direct connection between obeying God and receiving answers to prayer. 

Highlighted scriptures

1 John 2:24:  Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you.  if what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. 

1 John 3:11:  for this is the message that you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. 

1 John 3:18: Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 

1 John 3:20-22:  For whenever our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and he knows everything. (21) Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God.  (22) and whatever we ask we receive from him because we keep his commandments and do what pleases him.

I hope this episode finds you in good spirits and blessings.  Today is an episode that I find needs to be spoken about because it's often left alone, and for me if I leave it alone I feel like things won't move in the direction or "way" that God needs for them to go.  We often give our lives back to God or to God for the first time and after a few days of being excited and on fire for God, we start losing momentum and eventually falling back into a place of stagnant water; where we start sinking in and getting lost all over again.  It's frustrating and it's scary.  If this is what you currently; do not fret, join me today as we work through this and more on today's episode.

1 John 1: 1-10 
1 John 2:1-17

Key Points for the reading (taken from The Women's Study Bible:ESV)

1 John 1
1:5-10: "God is light" Reflects the OT, where "light" symbolizes both knowledge and purity"
1:7: "Walk in the Light means to reflect God's perfection in daily life. It includes both correct doctrine (truth) and moral purity(Holiness).  This phrase also implies that when Christians "walk in the light" their lives will not be characterized by hidden sins, lies, or deception."
1:10: " Have not sinned, his word is not in us. Until a person recognizes sin and the need for salvation, the gospel has not changed him." 

1 John 2
2:6: "Walk in the same way.  Believers can imitate Christ's faith, love, devotion, obedience, and selflessness."  
2:7-17- "The unchanging commandment in a changing world. John emphasizes the love commandment.  He then describes the challenge of living as a Christian in a dark world dominated by 'the evil one.'
2:7- The old commandment is love for God and love for others.  Jesus confirmed but also renewed these teachings.  Therefore they are also a new commandment."
2:12-14: "John knows his message is greater than the evil he describes.  Some view little children, fathers, and young men as symbolizing the sages of spiritual maturity in A Christian's life.  Others think "little children" refers to all John's readers, while "fathers" refers to older believers and 'young men' to newer believers."
2:16- "all that is in the world. John does not consider the whole created order evil. Rather, he gives examples of what believers should avoid. Human desires are part of God's creation.  they are evil only when they are expressed in ways for which god did not create them."

Welcome back to Faith In Between,  Yes I know we are back to Faith In Between, I had been wrestling with God for such a long time until he finally answered me and heard my cry to him about where my life needed to be and he answered me... NEW!!  new is what he told me but still using the parts of me that were right and losing the parts that were wrong in my life.  

so here we are, come join me as I explain this extraordinary event in my life and start all over again in Christ.  Rededicating my life back to him and living in my next glory, growing in it, and trusting him through it all!

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NLT):  This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become A new person, the old life is gone, and new life has begun. 

Isaiah 43:19:  Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you perceive it?  I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. 

Proverbs 3:5-6:  Trust In the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your path straight.

Welcome back to the podcast, I know when we last left back in May I had said that I felt there was a shift happening.  Don't worry one bit you are in the correct place.  Though the name and look are very different your wonderful host is exactly the same.  My name is Uilani Kumujone and this is KINGDOM ConFLOWsations.

AAAALLLOOOOHHHHAAAA! 

Welcome back to Home Sweet homemaking, Thank you for being a listener and a friend to me during this season of the podcast.  This season has been so crazy for me and how God has been showing up for me has been even crazier.  Today is our season finale for season 1 of Homesweet Homemaking and if you listen this may be the last season for "Home Sweet Homemaking."  I've been hearing God speaking to me about a new face "again" I know I get it its a lot, but I trust in God that he will let it all work out for great things. 

 that and a whole bunch of other things are going on that I feel God is calling me to and I have a lot of prayers to get into after this.  I hope that while on break you guys seek God through everything that you guys do and that you take care of yourself and your home.  

We will be back on the first Tuesday in July. 7/05/2022, I'll have a lot of things to talk to God about what's in store for the podcast in the future of the show.  I hope you enjoy today's episode and the rest of your summer.  I can't wait to get back on and get ready for amazing things!!
