What I know and believe with all my heart brothers and sisters is this – no matter what you think, God can use you to do something great with your life and for Him. No matter your past or how broken your life may seem right now, He can use you to do great things for Him. Please know that you are enough. You are more than enough to do whatever He calls you to do.

Even in our pain and unbelief, we can still find Jesus. He is still with us to comfort and bring peace. We’re going to have celebrations and parties and milestones and babies and weddings and times of rejoicing. But we’re also going to have times of loss and death and pain and sadness and grief. And he is not a God who has abandoned us to it, but he’s with us in it. If God gets the glory, then God gets the grief.

I’m not asking you to step out of your comfort zone and become a preacher, but I am asking you to share the miracle of the manger with others by leading your life as Christ taught us. Showing love to every child of God – the ones that look like us, the ones who don’t, the ones we agree with, the ones we don’t agree with, the young ones and the old. Share stories of your own faith walk with people so they can hear and see how God has worked in your life. If we don’t share with others how are others going to find the joy, love and hope that is promised to us? I pray that you will find the courage to step out of your comfort zone to share the story of the manger with others.

Christmas is more than some elaborate birthday party. It’s the celebration that Jesus has come to be that which each of us needs. Come inquiring like that of shepherds to the manger. Come see that what I’ve told you is true. God has come to us.
