Managing your own whitetail property is a lot of work, yet very rewarding if you do it right. But what if you had to completely restart after years of hard work? That's exactly what this week's guest Kim Sullivan had to do. An off-season move from one town to another caused her to have to restart her whitetail property management journey, and it was nothing short of a challenge. Kim dove in head first on her new place scouting, gathering intel, and strategizing her season. It wasn't long before she had a big buck in her sights, and the chase was on! Kim shares with us her long journey, frustrations, and more going into this season. She talks about the cat-and-mouse history with one buck in particular, and finally, she and Sam talk about what makes a buck a "shooter", and more!

We pride ourselves in finding guests whose stories may not have been told otherwise, and this episode is no exception. Mike Behrens is a military veteran, and one of the most down to earth blue-collar individuals you will ever meet. Until the 2022 season, Mike had never deer hunted. And he dove right in to the deep end; hunting 2 properties (one of them his own) and learning by trial and error how to play the cat and mouse game with some giant North Texas whitetails. As if that wasn't enough, he also pursued a new-found passion for archery hunting as well. Mike shares with us his journey, some of the most frustrating and yet hilarious stories from along the way, and the valuable lessons learned from a season unlike any other!
