Our favorite outdoor couple is back!  This week, we catch up with Derek and Lacey Eaves from Ridge Rock Hunt Company!  These two have been busy in recent months, starting off their new business and hitting the ground running; not to mention starting off their 2022 turkey seasons with multiple "BANGS!"  Derek and Lacey begin by talking turkeys, discussing Derek's recent hunts in Texas, Nebraska and Mississippi, as well as Lacey's first solo bird at home!  The two then cover Ridge Rock Hunt Company, booking hunts, meeting outfitters, making happy hunters, and more!  Derek also shares the story about the hunting trip that inspired him to start Ridge Rock Hunt Company, where the name came from, and to put a ring on Lacey's finger!  Don't miss this one!

Mental Health for our Military Veterans and First Responders carries some significant weight with us here at Fall Obsession, and like many we've found hunting, shooting, archery and just being in the outdoors has a very therapeutic effect for those struggling with stress, depression and other trials.  We were privileged to sit down with Dave King from HeartSupport; an organization who also values the same struggles of those who have served, and his passionately focused on "doing something about it."  Dave talks about the mission of HeartSupport, speaking more to these specific trials individuals deal with.  Dave is a passionate bow hunter of many decades, and shares his own passion for hunting and the outdoors with us, along with how it has helped him in his own journey.  Finally, HeartSupport has teamed up with The Veteran's Project and Ten Triple X Ranch to host a charity event in Glen Rose, TX on March 25-26th, 2022 centered around archery, shooting, and building a stronger network of support for service members.

What is it like coming to Texas to hunt whitetails for the very first time?  Mark Zorich can give you a pretty good idea!  Mark is last year's winner of our Veteran Giveaway Hunt, and joined us in December for a low-fence, free-range whitetail hunt in the Texas panhandle.  Mark is a California native, a USAF veteran, and an active duty Sheriff Deputy.  He also specializes as a sniper, and runs his own civilian long range shooting academy.  Mark reconnects with Sam following his hunt in Texas to reflect on the incredible weekend he spent with our crew.  They talk about first impressions hunting whitetails for the very first time, memorable moments from the hunt, and of course the successful high points!  Mark also shares his unique method for flying his venison home, along with some of his previous hunting experiences as a California Native.  Tune in for this awesome conversation, and be sure you check out the video from the hunt on our YouTube Channel!
