What does it mean to be a huntress in today's world? How can women be a true inspiration to other individuals living the hunting & outdoor lifestyle when the online world predominantly pushes female hunters who are doing it all for the "Likes", and over-sexualizing the modern huntress? This is part of what this week's guest, Delaney Pfeiffer discusses with us. Delaney grew up an Indiana farm girl, in a household full of hunters. Delaney shares her story, and how her passion for hunting and the outdoors has grown; inspiring her to share her own outdoor experiences with others. Delaney talks about what it means to be your true self as a huntress on social media, who her own role models have been, and how she herself strives to inspire other individuals in the outdoors. In a world that has certainly no shortage of female hunters; yet has allowed social media to indirectly present the modern huntress as something they are not, it is refreshing to sit down and have a conversation with someone who "gets it". We hope you feel the same way!

Our favorite outdoor couple is back!  This week, we catch up with Derek and Lacey Eaves from Ridge Rock Hunt Company!  These two have been busy in recent months, starting off their new business and hitting the ground running; not to mention starting off their 2022 turkey seasons with multiple "BANGS!"  Derek and Lacey begin by talking turkeys, discussing Derek's recent hunts in Texas, Nebraska and Mississippi, as well as Lacey's first solo bird at home!  The two then cover Ridge Rock Hunt Company, booking hunts, meeting outfitters, making happy hunters, and more!  Derek also shares the story about the hunting trip that inspired him to start Ridge Rock Hunt Company, where the name came from, and to put a ring on Lacey's finger!  Don't miss this one!

The snow goose saga continues!  We are back for part 2 of our "Mid-Western High" series; sitting down with the second half of the crew from our 2022 Missouri snow goose hunt!  Going right with everything discussed in part 1, the crew talks about the "rush" of the hunt, educational and conservational facts they learned about snow geese, and of course the bond and brotherhood that comes from sharing a hunting camp with our Fall Obsession family.  Even though the hunt has passed, you can still sense the excitement, passion, and desire to do it again in each of these folks!  Listen in and join us, as we finish riding this "Mid-Western High!"

Mental Health for our Military Veterans and First Responders carries some significant weight with us here at Fall Obsession, and like many we've found hunting, shooting, archery and just being in the outdoors has a very therapeutic effect for those struggling with stress, depression and other trials.  We were privileged to sit down with Dave King from HeartSupport; an organization who also values the same struggles of those who have served, and his passionately focused on "doing something about it."  Dave talks about the mission of HeartSupport, speaking more to these specific trials individuals deal with.  Dave is a passionate bow hunter of many decades, and shares his own passion for hunting and the outdoors with us, along with how it has helped him in his own journey.  Finally, HeartSupport has teamed up with The Veteran's Project and Ten Triple X Ranch to host a charity event in Glen Rose, TX on March 25-26th, 2022 centered around archery, shooting, and building a stronger network of support for service members.
