What is it like coming to Texas to hunt whitetails for the very first time?  Mark Zorich can give you a pretty good idea!  Mark is last year's winner of our Veteran Giveaway Hunt, and joined us in December for a low-fence, free-range whitetail hunt in the Texas panhandle.  Mark is a California native, a USAF veteran, and an active duty Sheriff Deputy.  He also specializes as a sniper, and runs his own civilian long range shooting academy.  Mark reconnects with Sam following his hunt in Texas to reflect on the incredible weekend he spent with our crew.  They talk about first impressions hunting whitetails for the very first time, memorable moments from the hunt, and of course the successful high points!  Mark also shares his unique method for flying his venison home, along with some of his previous hunting experiences as a California Native.  Tune in for this awesome conversation, and be sure you check out the video from the hunt on our YouTube Channel!

We all traditionally think of hunting Colorado elk in September and October during the start of our hunting seasons.  Not many put much thought behind late season elk hunting, or the challenges that come with it.  And this year was nothing short of challenging for Fall Obsession Staffer Tim Berges as he worked to fill his late season elk tag.  Tim found himself in prime elk country, but snow, access, and other variables gave him a run for his money.  Tim shares with our crew a unique and gritty story, including thousands of elk, a stuck truck, wolf encounters, hunting a literal dump, and everything in between!  Tune in and learn about the late season Colorado elk hunting grind... you won't regret it!

Texas whitetail season has come to an end.  Sam and his dad Mark spent the last week of the season on the "Texas Dirt" property in an effort to fill some doe tags.  These two take a few minutes in camp one evening to reflect on year number 1 with the new property.  Join in as they discuss the highs and the lows from this season, what they have learned about the deer and the 800+ acres they live on, how their plans and strategies will change for next season, and more!  Sam also shares one of the most memorable hunts he's ever had from this past season, including his first encounter with the giant buck that managed to elude him all year long!

Coming to you straight from deer camp, Sam is in the field with his dad, Mark during opening week of the Texas rifle season on their "Texas Dirt" property.  Throughout the summer and fall, we have followed our Texas crew as they have begun managing 800+ acres of untouched whitetail country in North Texas.  Sam finally gets to sit down with his dad again on the podcast, and get another perspective of what the property holds.  The two discuss the whitetail management strategies thus far, the importance of recon, how unusual it is to see the number of bucks they have seen, and more.  They both share of few of their more memorable hunts so far this year; and one in particular stands out for Sam, having had a mature buck standing only 10-feet away from him!

It's her first deer of the season, and her biggest archery buck to date!  Fall Obsession Staffer Kim Sullivan returns to our guest spotlight on the podcast with another Virginia tag punched!
