God condemns pride, so we must be humble, by Christ's grace.-Why--1. Because you know how pride damages. -v.18-22--2. Because God holds our lives in His hand. -v.23--3. Because God weighs our lives. -v.24-31-

Since God always makes good on His pledge, we can own the pledge. -1. God rescued His people, as pledged. -v. 37-38--2. Per His pledge to Abraham, God kept on keeping. -v.39-42- -3. Over to you - how will you respond- -v.43-45-

God has given us grace in order to serve each other...-1. ...with the gifts received from God. -v.10--2. ...with the strength supplied by God. -v.11a--3. ...to honor God through Jesus Christ. -v.11b-

God rescued those to whom He is pledged, and we praise Him. -1. God sent His servant and chosen one. -v.26--2. God performed powerful plagues. -v.27-35- -3. God pledged a plague against the firstborn. -v.36-

Money cannot buy The Spirit, His gifts, or His people. -1. The Holy Spirit cannot be bought. -v.10-15--2. Spiritual gifts cannot be purchased. -v. 16--3. God's servants cannot be bought. -v. 17-

God pledged Himself to peons like Joseph, and so we see a God pledge. -1. Reduced to being a slave. -v.16-19--2. Raised to being a prince. -v.20-22--3. Peon of what- -v.23-25-

God's writing on the wall prods us to be apt to learn.-1. Learn not to presume, though God was patient with others. -v.1--2. Learn to always respect God. -v. 2-3--3. Learn whom to worship. -v. 4-9-

When we consider God's intense pledge to us, we rejoice--1. Remember God's miracles. -v.1-7--2. Remember God's oath. -v.8-11--3. Remember God's follow-through. -v.12-15-

Because God is able to humble us, let's be humbled while God is whispering--1. Do not think lightly of God's patience. -v.28-29--2. Do not scoff at God's warnings. -v.30-33--3. Do not forget - God is able to humble us the hard way. -v.34-37-
