What values did your family pour on you that helped you thrive and succeed personally and professionally?
Most first-generation Latinos in the US have something in common: apart from being interpreters and translators, they learn to wear many hats, do a bit of everything, rely on and support the Latino community they belong to, and, above all things, work hard for what they want.
In today's episode, I'm joined by the badass Latina and lifelong friend Marina Fuentes. Marina is a Certified Interpreter, Speaker, Events Organizer, and Entrepreneur. As a child, she did a bit of everything at her parents' restaurant, which she turned into a banquet hall. Later, she started her own event-planning business, employing her nieces and nephews.
Tune in to Episode 174 of Amiga, Handle Your Shit, and learn more about Marina's second-to-none entrepreneurial spirit, sense of community, and perseverance. Marina also shares her thoughts on the importance of integrity, faith, and self-worth as pillars of entrepreneurship and advice on parenting and business.
