Guests are already getting excited and for those brave enough to throw on a costume and go on a scavenger hunt, they are even winning multi-day passes! On the last Saturday of August, Fan Effect host KellieAnn Halvorsen was joined FanX’s Ro Malaga and numerous cosplayers for the first big event of the FanX season, the Cosplay Games. From a cosplay Hall-of-Famer to a family all dressed as Loki variants, everyone had something fun to say about the joy of cosplay, the comradery of Utah’s fan culture, and what they are looking forward to in the upcoming con.Interviewees include photographer Mark Loertscher, Mindy Madsen, Eric Allan Hall and the Lee/Fredrickson clan, brother and sister Kreston Lee and Melinda Lee Fredrickson, with kids Tyler, Samuel, Jasmine, Adriella, and Abigail Fredrickson. Many of these cosplayers volunteer with Heroes Engaging Real Organizations in Charity, Kids Heroes Foundation, and can be found socializing on the Cosplay Utah Facebook group.
