  • We Speak with Natural Bodybuilder Rob Terry about Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life

If you've heard or Rob Terry before, then you would be familiar with his work from his time with IMPACT! Wrestling. Terry was not only apart of The British Invasion with Doug Williams and current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Brutus Magnus (aka Nick Aldis).

Once the stable dissolved he later teamed then feuded with Robbie E. (currently Rob Stone in WWE NXT). Now, the Welsh grappler not only works as a firefighter but at the time of film  Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life, was the defending Natural Olympia champion in the heavyweight division.

Terry, who stands 6'4" and walks around at over 260 lbs is a life-long natural bodybuilder. Terry, who had a medical condition at the age of 8 years old would have died from any attempt at becoming an enhanced athlete, although you would never guess from looking at him. Big Rob, as he was known in Florida Championship Wrestling used to be offended by people calling him a, "fake natty," but Terry has the physical scars to prove just why he couldn't take anything that isn't over the counter. In fact, not only does he participate in WADA urine testing, but also willfully submits to blood tests at his own expense.

Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life, follows the journey of natural competitors as Terry competes against Adrian Pietrariu and Philip Ricardo Jr. tries to repeat his previous year's victory at the Natural Olympia. The documentary also features fan favorites Kai Greene and the, “controversial” figure, former American Gladiator, Mike O’Hearn. Over the years, people have accused O’Hearn of being a, “fake natty,” which he also addresses in the documentary.

We spoke with Terry about Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life, and could competitors be considered natural if they were ever enhanced at one point in time?

  • We Speak with Vlad Yudin about Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life

Generation Iron first made an impact in 2013 following the 2012 Mr. Olympia competition. In the past 7 years, founder Vlad Yudin has developed a brand that has replaced most of the fitness magazines as he continues to conduct interviews, promote the fitness industry, ask questions most people refuse to make public when it comes to bodybuilding and produce in depth documentaries.

In Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life, Yudin finally addresses one of the smallest and most neglected parts of the sport of bodybuilding and that's the natural athletes.

Yudin introduces follows the journey of natural competitors Adrian Pietrariu, Philip Ricardo Jr. and former TNA wrestler, Rob Terry on their journey in to compete in the Natural Olympia. The documentary also features fan favorites Kai Greene and the, "controversial" figure, former American Gladiator, Mike O'Hearn. Over the years, people have accused O'Hearn of being a, "fake natty," which he also addresses in the documetnary.

We caught up with Yudin about Generation Iron: Natty 4 Life, the impact the series has had on the industry and has anyone that was previously enhanced switch to natural bodybuilding. Could those competitors be considered natural if they were ever enhanced at one point in time?

  • Director Eric Appel Talks About 'Die Hart' Streaming Now on Quibi

Director Eric Appel (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Teachers, Son of Zorn) has taken on the challenge to turn what easily could have been a full-length feature film into 10, 10-minute episodes for the streaming service Quibi entitled Die Hart.

The series follows Kevin Hart, who plays an exaggerated version of himself in wanting to go from comic relief, sidekick into action hero. In order to do so, he must train with the absolutely insane Ron Wilcox (John Travolta), a man who takes method acting to an extreme.

Die Hart is part The Truman Show, part Last Action Hero, pure comedy and all Hart (yes, pun intended).

We caught up with Appel about the series now streaming on Quibi discussing the daily run of these hilarious episodes and the possibility of turning it into a full-length feature film on DVD.

  • Karan Soni Talks About 'Other Space'

Karan Soni (Deadpool, Miracle Workers) was early in his career when he filmed the Paul Feig series, Other Space. Originally launched on the now defunct Yahoo! Screen streaming platform, the series that premiered in 2015 has found a new home on Dust.

The series follows the misadventures of a team young and inexperienced crew in the year 2105 as they face obstacles of space exploration. Think The Orville before the series was ever conceived.

Soni plays Captain Stewart Lipinski, an overly kind pushover who lacks confidence in his abilities while his first-mate sister, Karen (Bess Rous) along with his unrequited love for Tina (Milana Vayntrub) and of course a lovable robot as well as a misfit crew, this a Galaxy Quest level of hilarity in a half-hour sitcom.

We caught up with Karan about what its like revisiting this series five years late, how we miss being at Comic-Con and the hopes for a season two on Dust.

Other Space begins exclusively streaming on August 1, 2020.

  • LA Comic Con's CEO Chris DeMoulin Makes a Huge Announcement!

LA Comic Con is celebrating its 10 anniversary this year and as crazy as the world has become, the September 25-27, 2020 dates were impossible to pull off.

However, CEO Chris DeMoulin and the staff of LA Comic Con have been working with the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County and the LA Convention Center to find the safest way possible to bring about LA Comic Con this year.  The event itself has been pushed back to December 11-13, 2020.

On top of that LA Comic Con has rented out the entire LA Convention Center, which covers 1.1 million sq ft of indoor and outdoor space.

Virtual tickets will also be made available for those who are still not comfortable enough to venture out into bigger crowds or have pre-existing health conditions that will not allow them to attend in person.
