Tory Hassett is one of the Co-organizers for Summer Suds Brewfest taking place on Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Fountain Valley, CA.

This is the third Summer Suds Brewfest after taking a two year hiatus due to the world falling apart, but luckily they are returning to Fountain Valley, CA as part of the city's Fountain Valley Summerfest events.

Located at Fountain Valley Sports Park, Summer Suds Brewfest on Saturday, June 18, 2022 brings you over 40 plus craft breweries with over 100 beers to sample plus a selection of kombucha tea, seltzers and food tastings to enjoy. The event includes live performances from local bands, a giant party game arena for some friendly competition, beer magicians and some of Southern California's best food vendors cuisine. Summer Suds Brewfest is a proud partner of Fountain Valley Community Foundation.

The 21 and older VIP guests begin their sampling at Noon to 4 p.m. while guests with standard tickets enter at 1 p.m. Following Summer Suds Brewfest guest are admitted into the Fountain Valley Summerfest free of charge with their wristband and continue to enjoy family friendly fun until 11 p.m.

Fountain Valley's moniker of, "...A Nice Place to Live," as Mile Square Park at the Sports Park off Brookhurst Street, just past the basketball and tennis courts, near the baseball fields.

In speaking with Co-Organizer Troy Hassett, we discover how Summer Suds Brewfest came into existence, what it is like partnering up with the City of Fountain Valley and a reminder to everyone that if you show up intoxicated you will not be allowed to enter the event. There will be live music, a magician and games, including cornholing.

Hassett also reminds everyone to drink responsibly and that there will be areas for ride share pick-ups. So come out and celebrate Father's Day with dad and a bunch of new friends!

The current National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World’s Heavyweight Champion, Matt Cardona has not only lived up to his moniker of being, ‘Alwayz Ready‘, he has even gotten a Pay Per View (PPV) named after himself. The ‘Alwayz Ready‘ PPV takes place at the Knoxville Convention Center, in Knoxville, Tennessee on FiteTV this Saturday, June 11, 2022..

“As World’s Heavyweight Champion, Matt Cardona insisted that if he was to be compelled to go to a storied NWA territory like Knoxville, Tennessee and defend the championship, he would only appear if the June 11th PPV was in his honor,” said NWA President, William Patrick Corgan. “This event, named after his singular catchphrase ‘Alwayz Ready’, will feature his entrance music as the show’s sole theme, and all promotional materials therein will include his brand and likeness; including no less than a modified NWA logo which now reads MCWA (Matt Cardona Wrestling Alliance.) Now all that’s left is for the champion to be ready to live up to his requests.”

Although Cardona is claiming that he is the only NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion to ever have a PPV named after him, he is forgetting that Ric Flair had the, ‘Flair for the Gold,’ Cardona has proven himself to be the world’s best, whether we like it or not.

One person who is not too fond of the current champion, is former TNA/IMPACT Knockout's Champion and Tag Team Champion, Velvet Sky, who joined the NWA commentary team a little less than a year ago. She makes up the three person team with Joe Galli and former NWA World's Heavyweight Champion, Tim Storm.

Sky discusses retirement, joining the NWA following having worked with Corgan at IMPACT Wrestling, her show Velvet After Dark and how the legacy of the oldest promotion in North America still lives up to the standards that have been held up by the NWA for over 75 years.

'Deep Throat' the 1972 adult film that took industry mainstream is receiving a Golden Anniversary 4K restoration and limited theatrical rerelease this summer.

The 1970s were definitely interesting times. There was a war in Vietnam, a sexual revolution, Roe v Wade was a landmark case and a new wave of filmmakers had taken the industry by storm coming fresh out of the universities instead of being trained by the studies.

Part of that sexual revolution of the era was the adult film industry going mainstream and that is thanks to a movie by Gerard Damiano Sr. entitled 'Deep Throat'.

I had always assumed the movie was named after the Richard Nixon informant nickname, but it turns out as, Gerard Damiano Jr. corrected me in the interview, it was the other way around. He even mentions that former first lady, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis stood in line with the crowd in New York City to be apart of all the buzz.

Now, as we hit the 50th Anniversary celebration of the landmark film in the fight for freedom of speech, 'Deep Throat' receives a 4K Restoration for the limited theatrical rerelease.

When you think guitar gods, names like Hendrix, Frehley, Van Halen, Clapton, Iommi all come to mind, but one name in a very limited window of time will always stick out and that man was named, Randy Rhoads.

In just a 5 year window, Randy Rhoads began his journey to guitar god with Quiet Riot, leading him to join Ozzy Osbourne on his first solo venture with Blizzard of Ozz. Sadly, at 25 years old, Rhoads lost his life in a tragic plane crash that left the entire music industry numb.

Now, 40 years since his passing, director Andre Relis and rock legend, Tracii Guns (who narrates the documentary) revisit the life and times of Randy Rhoads, a musical  prodigy from Southern California that within a few months was better than his own music teacher.

In less than 90 minutes, Relis humanizes Rhoads who has been deified in the metal community and continues to live on in our hearts, minds and souls. If you can get your hands on an early release of Blizzard of Ozz or the first two Quiet Riot albums, you can hear the intricacies of Rhoads' musicality within each song.

During our interview, I told Guns that I was terrified when initially finding out that he was the narrator, because although he is an incredible musician and vocalist, that does not always translate to voice over, but to my delight and everyone else's Tracii Guns knocked it out of the park and just like any L.A. Guns show, will leave the audience wanting to hear more!

Randy Rhoads, the legendary guitarist known for his unmatchable guitar riffs, re-shaped rock’n’roll as the lead guitarist for Quiet Riot and Ozzy Osbourne. After forming Quiet Riot with bandmates Kelly Garni, Drew Forsyth,  and Kevin DuBrow in the 70s, the band quickly became one of the most popular acts in the Los Angeles club circuit. However, their music failed to land them a legitimate record deal. After playing with Quiet Riot for over 10 years, Randy received an opportunity to be the lead guitarist for former Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne. One of the most gut wrenching problems that has faced the world since humanity could walk upright has become the focus of this incredible documentary by Jain monks Sadhvi Siddhali Shree and Sadhvi Anubhuti, who address the horror of sex trafficking throughout the world. Masterson is quite in credible as she remembers virtually everyone she has ever met at one of these conventions, especially if they are rocking the, "Be Kind" tee shirts or other merch, like comics from the booths. What was more significant than this interview was watching Masterson and her associates interact with attendees from all walks of life, with kind eyes or even just a smile allowing them to feel welcomed, where some have so often felt alienated.

An interesting fact he pointed out was that South Dakota has the least amount of university students leaving their home state, which may instantly guarantee their admission to a four year university so those schools can tout having students from all 50 states.
