Educator turned Comic Creator, Tyler F. Martin Discusses 'The Antagonists' Comics and Television Rights with Emmy-Nominated Producer & Filmmaker Noel Braham.

Tyler F. Martin is living his dream. He went from the son of a single mother to public school educator to now a comic book creator as the founder of Godhood Comics and the creator of such titles as Mega Woman, Sharpshooter, Galactic Patrol Delta, and the extremely popular comic series The Antagonists, which the television rights have been purchased by Emmy-nominated producer and filmmaker, Noel Braham.

I spoke with Martin about having been an educator, what it means to create your own publishing company and why it is significant for him to identify as Black and Indigenous, Person of Color (BIPOC) in his bio rather than just Tyler F. Martin, creator.

Jordan Rodrigues Returns as Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms, available on 4K, Blu-ray and Digital, Tuesday August 31, 2021.

Malaysian-Australian actor, Jordan Rodrigues returns as Liu Kang in Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms, in the sequel Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge and hopefully, in a full trilogy of the franchise.

Rodrigues returns to the Mortal Kombat franchise as Liu Kang for a second time continues to play well with others...except maybe Johnny Cage (Joel McHale), who they tolerate throughout the video games and various incarnations of the property.

Liu Kang must save the Six Realms and essentially all of creation.

Rodrigues and I discuss the significance of the character, what it is like being the children of immigrants who did not follow the safer routes in chosen fields and how the Mortal Kombat characters have evolved in this sequel.

Mitchell, who added his middle initial to differentiate himself from the sea of David Mitchell's in the SAG-AFTRA union, returns as the god of thunder to aid those from Earthrealm in surviving Mortal Kombat.

We crack a few jokes and pitch a title for the third installment of Mortal Kombat Legends that Mitchell was quite fond of.

Kel McDonald and Alina Pete Discuss Their New Anthology Graphic Novel, The Woman and the Woods and Other North American Stories, that is now live on Kickstarter.

The fifth in a series of graphic novel anthologies that spans the globe, The Woman and the Woods and Other North American Stories, inspired by original Native North American tales is now live on Kickstarter.

Kel McDonald, Alina Pete and Kate Ashwin (who was not able to make the interview) in association with Iron Circus Comics along with the help of nearly a dozen other creators brought to life The Woman and the Woods and Other North American Stories, which after only one day on Kickstarter has nearly tripled its original goal!

This was an enlightening conversation as to how the series came about and what we could expect in purchasing these books especially across the continents.

Eugenie Bondurant Talks about her Role as The Occultist in The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It, available Today on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.

Eugenie Bondurant refers to herself as "Tall and Skinny," at 6'1" she isn't lying about the tall part, nor how slender she is and thankfully, she was able to make the interview comfortable as the only thing more terrifying to me than a horror movie based on demon possession are musicals.

Luckily, The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It, isn't a musical, but as a religious man who holds advanced degrees in theology, has witnessed the stigmata as well as other either holy or unholy events, her turn as The Occultist was bone chilling. Other than the creepy contortionist scene early on in the film, Bondurant was so believable as an evil figure in The Conjuring 3 that I was almost scared to talk to her.

Now as the film has been available on Digital HD since July 23, 2021 and is now available in hard copy format on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD today, we were able to speak with Bondurant about her role in the film, what scares her and what does it do to one's psyche when playing a real life figure.

Rod Roddenberry and Roddenberry Entertainment Celebrate the Centennial of Gene Roddenberry today, August 19, 2021.

I had met Rod Roddenberry a handful of times over the years at various Star Trek events and conventions. Although, I was not able to attend to the 55th Anniversary of Star Trek at the Rio in Las Vegas, I had the next best adventure. I got to speak with Rod Roddenberry about the his father Gene Roddenberry's 100th birthday being celebrated today, August, 19th.

The elder Roddenberry wasn't just a science fiction writer, but a World War II veteran, a plane crash survivor over Syria and worked for the police department here in Southern California (listen above for all the details). Gene Roddenberry lived five lifetimes and 55 years later we still celebrate his greatest work of science fiction with Star Trek.

Rod has devoted his life to carrying on his father’s legacy, and his radical vision of a diverse and inclusive world – which Gene depicted through the philosophy he imbued in Star Trek, including a cast with a multi-ethnic crew and putting one of the first Inter-racial kisses on the TV screen. I had the pleasure of speaking with Professor Dwinell about art, surfing, science and craft beer along with my experiences at Cal State Long Beach in the teaching credential program.

Professor Dwinell along with the assistance of a science professor at CSULB, takes us on a youth friendly journey about oceanography all via her love of the ocean and surfing, turning the most stubborn learner into a science fan.

I have said a million times over that science is taught wrong in the United States as I remember from my youth the my teacher went through a 45-minute lecture using Greek and Latin jargon to only find out that the big pay off at the end was, "...and that's how you make a car tire (or soda bottle, I can't remember exactly which one, but it was something mundane)."

That one lesson left a bad taste in my mouth about science, causing me to think for so many years that it was just a bunch of ego maniacs doing nothing significant in the classroom.

However, Professor Dwinell, through art reopened my eyes and in over 100 pages, sent me running to the beach.

After our conversation, I owe Professor Dwinell a beer at the very least and waving to her from the safety of the sand as she catches some waves.

Jeremy Swift Discusses His Role as Leslie Higgins on Ted Lasso as Season Two is Now Streaming on AppleTV+.

Jeremy Swift (Downton Abbey, Mary Poppins Returns, The Importance of Being Earnest) returns as Leslie Higgins in AppleTV+'s Ted Lasso for Season Two of the show that I freely admit (and ever so grateful to be wrong about) is the best feel good series on television and streaming services today.

Swift's career began with guest spots that eventually lead to heavy hitter series and a sequel of a Disney classic to now one of the most nominated Emmy series this year.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Swift, cracking a few jokes and pondering why the British and Spanish are so bad at swimming in the Olympics when they were the greatest seafaring nations since the Phoenicians.

Mr. Swift brings so much to Leslie Higgins on Ted Lasso and from start to finish of the first and through the second season makes everyone feel apart of the family. No spoilers, but wait until the Christmas episode in season two in order to really understand how important Higgins is to the franchise.

Jeremy Swift is a gentleman that deserves all the success he has earned in this world and I hope to see Ted Lasso go on for another several years as the show that I thought had no chance of being a success what the one show that turned me into a 6'3" pile of mush. In part, we need to thanks Swift for that.

Ted Lasso Season Two is Now Streaming on AppleTV+ and yes, Futbol is Life!

Troy Baker Returns as The Joker in 'Batman: The Long Halloween Part Two' available today on Digital and Blu-Ray from Warner Home Entertainment.

Troy Baker is the only man to ever voice Batman and the Joker in 2019's Batman vs Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

However, this go around, the Joker isn't the belle of the ball as he is relegated to a secondary character to Calendar Man, no less. This makes our Clown Prince of Crime jealous of what appears to be...and using a 1940s term...from Batman's Best Girl to just another chippy.

Baker explains how the Joker's involvement with the Long Halloween is still a significant role, even though it is not the primary one. This also feels like a Batman: Year Two type story, showing the brilliance in the original graphic novel by Jeff Loeb and Tim Sales as well as the adaptation for the animation by Tim Sheridan.

We discuss how sometimes it is difficult to read the book then watch the movie and vice versa, but how Batman: The Long Halloween Part One and Two can be an easy introduction into the Batman mythos of the animated features or the comics, without having to catch up on 80 plus years of the printed word and images.

Baker has been a fan favorite in not only all his other voices, but that of Batman going back to Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Super Heroes Unite, where he also voiced Two-Face.
