Welcome to True Blood July! Leah and Bri will be discussing the TV show True Blood (2008-2014) for the rest of the month. It's hot outside, and we know you're thirsty. This is the third episode of the series, although the episodes don't necessarily have to be listened to in order. We discuss a different group of characters in each episode; we don't going through the series season by season or discuss anything chronologically. In conjunction with our series, we're running a Best True Blood Character bracket on our social media accounts. Be sure to check that out and vote for your faves!
In this episode, we revisit some of our previous discussions of True Blood's queerness to add some context, we talk about Pam, but mostly we talk about ERIC NORTHMAN. We also spend considerable time gushing over Alexander Skarsgård.
The episode is marked explicit for a few f-bombs, as usual.

In this episode, we discuss what makes True Blood vampires special, how much we love the gooey special effects in the early seasons of the show, why Vampire Bill is better as a normcore vampire, and why Jessica is our favorite baby vamp.
The episode is marked explicit for a few f-bombs, as usual.

This week, Leah and Bri succumb to the memes. We're talking about Sony's disastrous attempt to replicate the freak box office success of Venom. Yep, we're talking about Morbius (2022, dir. Daniel Espinosa). The twist? Only Bri has seen the cursed film. Leah has to guess what actually happened in the film and what's crap Bri made up. The episode unfolds in quiz form, so you can play along with Leah! Share your scores. This episode is, honestly, probably more fun if you haven't actually seen Morbius.
This episode is marked explicit for some f-bombs, as usual.

Welcome to our series... "Dracula: Where Is He Now?" Leah and Bri are periodically releasing parts of this series, which focuses on Dracula's one hundred years of film stardom, over the first half of 2022. Each part will thematically group pre- and post-2000 Dracula films.
In "Part Three: Dracula Remixed," we’re covering four remixed versions of Dracula. Not all of them are strictly comedic, but they’re all playful twists on Dracula that speak to the different points in time in which they were made. For this part, we’ll be discussing Blacula (dir. William Crain, 1972), Dracula Dead and Loving It (dir. Mel Brooks, 1995), and Hotel Transylvania (dir. Genndy Tartakovsky, 2012). We also couldn’t resist talking about Peter’s all-puppet Dracula musical from Forgetting Sarah Marshall (dir. Nicholas Stoller, 2008). Part Three is only one episode!

We're back with some prime Underworld nonsense! It's our Underworld: Awakening (2012, dir. Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein) episode, in which Leah and Bri actually confess to missing having Scott Speedman in this franchise. (We know, we know.) As always when we're baffled by a bad film, there's more swearing than usual in this episode.
**If you are mad we skipped Rise of the Lycans on the main pod, stay tuned to the Ko-fi. We're doing a bonus episode on it.**

This week, Bri and Leah invited pop culture writer Veronica Phillips onto the pod to talk about a show we're all obsessed with: What We Do in the Shadows (2019-present, 3 seasons on FX). Tune in to hear us chat about what makes the show a successful spin off, which episodes are our favorites, and why we love every single character.
