Fangs Up

The tea is what it is!

FAMU has new leadership and my feeling that change would be afoot has been realized.

But it’s not a celebration, just a chance to see what new ideas will come from a president who is supposed to be at FAMU for a good time and not a long time.

While this is dominating the news cycle, what about that FAMU vs Prairie View game?

Well let’s talk about both!

Have you found a Hotel? Are you doing the B&B!

Either way Homecoming will be lit and we look for a sea of Orange & Green to be seen on the Highest of Seven Hills.

And in the first week of getting a new president we see a new found commitment to athletics?

A fun weekend by many and new beginnings for more!

Southern vs FAMU is a rivalry that matches few others!

This year the Jaguars come to Tallahassee and FAMU is definitely favored to win.

But we have seen much less of our athletic director in the past few weeks.

Is she preparing to move towards the next stop in her profession?

We have seen FAMU be used as a stepping stone for a while and with an expiring contract one would not blame her for looking for the next opportunity.

What makes it more understandable is the strained relationship which exist and the accolades which have come to the program under her leadership.

Like it or not, she has a case to make at the interview table, lets see what it is!

FAMU vs Jackson State may be the best game of the season in the SWAC western division. Atmosphere, importance and more could be the game that decides who wins the conference this season as it has been for the last few seasons.

The conference definitely got what it wanted in this game between its eastern division heavy weights.

Also FAMU fans need a bit of direction coming from those in control of the athletics program.

And it may be time to give those people who questioned that SWAC & Byron Allen deal some credit.

The Fang Exchange has a special on Thursday, so let's have a Fangs Up Friday!

Looking at the Alabama State football game while also talking about the coaching contract situation that has taken place.

And let's set up some upcoming show ideas in the process…

Pre-Season Projections don’t matter but they definitely give us something to talk about and hope for. So looking at the first four games of the season you either think this team will be 4-0 or 2-2.

I’ll want the perfect season but the honest portion of me says 2-2 is more likely so lets see what we think about the Alabama A&M game which will be the SWAC opener and the second time that we get the Bulldogs in Tallahassee.

Will we get the band to make the trip to Tallahassee?

The Season opens in Atlanta Georgia against a familiar foe in Norfolk State and the week is packed with events for those that will be in Atlanta.

But after the MEAC/SWAC Challenge event, what are we expecting to see on the field between these two familiar fan bases and bands?

Preseason Number Two?

Welp Defending the defending champs may differ from this opinion, especially when you look at who the Champs have returning on Defense.

I mean Defense wins championships and the Rings are Orange & Green with Rattlesnakes on them.

The best skill positions in the SWAC and a New President will be on the way!

While we normally stick to sports, what are we looking for in a new Head Rattler?

And why does the BOG further enforce that you really should consider voting?

Also let's look at what has the potential to be the most potent skill position group in the SWAC!

We normally do Sunday, but Monday will be the move this week!

The Head Rattler in Charge is Mr. James Colzie!

And what a few months have we seen on the Highest of Seven Hills.

What is life as the leader of the defending Celebration Bowl Champs?

Who are the Players that we need to look out for this season and what can those who align with the Orange & Green expect from the Colzie Era?
