The Orange & Green Game was the culmination of a weekend which was FAMU centered. Ring Ceremonies on Friday, Breakfast & Football on Saturday while fans melted in the Florida Sun on the East Side of Bragg Memorial Stadium. 

All of this and the Softball team inches closer to winning the SWAC Championship.

The FAMU Spring Game will be on Saturday and what you see on Saturday may not be indicative of what you will get in a few months. 

Additionally we have seen that the Softball and Baseball teams lead the SWAC going into the home stretch of the season. 

We also have the FAMU Golf Team that is fighting for a SWAC title while the Tennis team claims another one.

As the Spring sports hit the midpoint of the season and the true end of football season approaches we have to notice that the business of running the athletic program during these down times comes to the forefront.

When Naysayers Break! They Break! 

At least that is what Bernie Mac said in the Kings of Comedy and during the break we had some expected things happen in FAMU Athletics. 

The Men’s Basketball coach was not retained, Ahriahna Grizzle was named SWAC Player of the year and continues to have the accolades roll in while the Baseball & Softball continue to prove why our faith in those coaches has been earned.

This weekend allowed FAMU to celebrate a living legend in Coach Veronica Wiggins who built the Softball Program into a sustainable product.

We also see the basketball season winding down with the question of what it would take to get Lawson filled again?

We all love winners but weekends like this open not only pull at the heart strings.

We also saw another brick added to the FAMU football program.
