Fangs Up

One thing that is always constant is change, right?

Well if change is the only constant that exists, how does one develop or create a culture which promotes consistency?

Well one thing that has been consistent at FAMU has been on the field success over the last three years, but the football team is riding a losing streak, the lady Volleyball team sojourns about much of the south to build a resume and prepare for conference play.

All this while FAMU welcomes home a new AD who is coming with high regard and expectations, one of which is to provide stability to a program that has not seen consistent leadership in years.

Also with this new vision, should we expect FAMU to remain in the SWAC or seek greener papers, I mean pastures?

To the surprise of no one  FAMU has named its new Athletic Director in one Angela Suggs.

It is easy to say that no place is like home but the real question is to say that not only is no place like FAMU, but more importantly to ask the question of what is our New Athletic Director inheriting and what are we looking to see happen going forward?

The Groove of the Century is so smooth that most of us don’t know that it's a breakup song.

And we are seeing the rise of one organization while we look for another to catch up.

This while we finally get basketball schedules for both teams and the Volleyball team is trying to defend Lawson.

These Happy Feelings might be more than just feeling by seasons end.

The Out Come was what it was, but the Volleyball team held it down for the lovers of Orange & Green!

Great time for a Bye week and of course the question of if HBCU’s should still play these money games will be asked.

FAMU heads to Miami to play what appears to be a resurgent Miami Hurricane football team.

Both the Hurricanes & the Rattlers have found QB1, but the rest of the team is definitely in question for some positions.

We all fully expect Miami to win big but what can FAMU do to change the narrative?

Also FAMU Volleyball has a home series that we hope can draw a nice showing and bolster the resume.

In what was an extremely frustrating performance against South Carolina state, some left with questions and others left with answers.

Undisciplined, Uninspired football led to what was a very disappointing outcome which may have confirmed the feeling that this team is the second best team in the SWAC.

The unfortunate truth is that FAMU is a tough job made even tougher when we consider the revolving door of leadership which persists in some positions.

The recent removal of another Athletic Director places more focus on the ancillary problems which can make it difficult to support the athletics program.

Dr. Beard has a 100 day plan and from an athletic perspective let us hope includes organizing the athletic program in such a manner that it can continue to remain profitable while also addressing known issues.

The MEAC/SWAC Challenge was closer than the experts or myself thought, but FAMU came out with the Win!

Not-So-Instant Reaction because I was tired and the party was good.

How do we feel about this game and what the Rattlers were able to get done against Norfolk State, furthermore are y’all cutting back your salt intake to reduce that blood pressure?

Thursday is the last day of the DNC so we're doing a Fangs Up Friday!

Volleyball season has started and we know who the starting QB is; yes I was wrong on that one.

Also the Head Basketball coach has announced the return of some familiar faces to the basketball roster.

It feels like Summer in Florida but Fall Sports have opened!

Coach Said we would know who Quarter #1 would be, was he being serious or was he play pimpin?

And was who I thought would be the starting QB the person he chose?

Also the question is not if FAMU will be Mississippi Valley but by how many points.

Lastly we have a new Booster organization, are we splitting too many hairs?
