It's the start of week 3 and if you are currently at the bottom of the standings with your team struggling, commish and I gave some tips on what you can do to slowly move up. It's easier said than done, and patience is a must.

COVID strikes with Tobias Harris, Khris Middleton and Kevin Love being the casualties. Hopefully your league has IL+ for at least a couple of these players. Zion Williamson is said to miss another 2-3 weeks. To be honest, my personal outlook on Zion is not good after seeing how he looks while doing some drills, he just looks far from game shape and that could take time.

Cole Anthony gave us another strong line and if he keeps this up he could be your pickup of the year candidate. I'm sure many owners of Anthony are happy with someone they most likely picked up from the wire or their last pick in the draft. His teammate, Franz Wagner also has made himself fantasy relevant. This batch of rookies are interestingly good and 3 of the top 4 picks, including the first overall pick, aren't even hitting their groove yet. If you look into it, the rookies are even outperforming last year's rookie group.

Did you know that Richaun Holmes is currently top 10 in rankings? Well, the jump is not Miles Bridges-like, but still who would've thought? Holmes though is one of our favorite low-key, fantasy-friendly center who will never make your team look bad. And those who picked him in the 40s/50s thinking it was a little too high now see him as a real bargain. He could end up top 30 this season with the way he is playing.

With all the early struggles from the first rounders this season, one player who is a constant is Giannis Antetokoumnpo. Yes, his free throws are still bad (though he has so far improved to 71%), but managers most likely drafted him thinking punt free throws at the onset, so it doesn't really hurt.

So we've heard less RWB slander this week and the Lakers is slowly getting into a good offensive rhythm with Westbrook. The competition though has not been good, but still this could be what the Lakers need to get their groove.

Today we got vintage James Harden. Nineteen free throw attempts. All we can hope is that this continues, okay realistically, he won't take 19 free throws, but if he can give us 8-10 a night, we'd be happy. Damian Lillard also had a great game just when managers have started to entertain some buy low offers on the trade market.

We also talked about the struggles of Kyle Lowry and another subpar Lamelo Ball game. Lowry is said to have some elbow injury, which may be affecting his shooting. Ball, meanwhile, is just struggling. No need to sugarcoat it but good thing is, the rebounds, assists and some defensive stats are there.

I also shared my frustration in a 16-team league I'm in where Chris Boucher and Norm Powell were dropped! Frustrating because I'm soooo far in the waiver priority and if only I knew they'd be dropped, I would've traded some of my guys for them.

Did we all just fall for the Jordan Poole hype and overlooked Desmond Bane? Bane has been good, I mean, really good. One of the pod's friend Erik Ong of Hoop-Ball called it after the Invitational League draft. Unfortunately we were not able to record that call, but hey, we got ourselves some Banes in some of our leagues because of that! But yeah, we feel Bane could stick and could end up as one of the draft day steals or maybe the best pickup in the FA.

Another possible draft day steal is Montrezl Harrell who just produced a great line on the first game without Daniel Gafford. Though it's hard to predict what happens to the center rotation in DC when everyone's healthy, but Harrell is making a case for himself and owners of Harrell can just enjoy this ride!

Then there is Ja Morant. We all know he won't be top 10, but is top 50 possible despite finishing in the 150 range last year? That's a big jump. With the way he is playing and the way Memphis is using their players, it does seem like Morant is in for a great season and I'm sure that's a welcome news for his managers.

Oh, we squeezed in a new segment here - Fix My Team. So a friend of mine messaged me and asked some help on how he can fix his team, well, I thought commish can help more. As part of this segment, commish gave his recommendations on what adjustments my friend can make to help his team get better.

Back-to-back late night release for us, but hopefully we're just in time to tuck you in and put accompany you to sleep. In today's quickie, we discuss Joel Embiid's early injury woes that seems to be affecting his fantasy game. Do you think Embiid should just rest his knee for a couple of weeks before going back at it?

It was just yesterday when we talked about Malcolm Brogdon and the only way we see Chris Duarte getting minutes is if Brogdon goes down. Today, well, we're sorry Brogdon owners, but today, Brogdon goes down. And it is the type of injury that could take time as hamstring injuries can be tricky and could be aggravated when playing through it. This though just means Indiana coach Rick Carlisle will continue to give Duarte minutes, plus some TJ McConnell!

To Bam Adebayo owners, are you happy with his contribution to your fantasy team? I just feel he has so far been a points and rebounds guy only. There's not much stocks, not much assists too! And those could be a problem.

Here we go, the injury bug takes down a couple of first rounders. Anthony Davis owners are always concerned. With every fall and every jump, we (coz I have a few AD stocks) AD owners will always be concerned even if he lands perfectly fine or gets back up. Today, I had flashbacks of last season when AD was just out of it and worse he got injured and pretty much did not play for most of the season. Thankfully, he got back up and finished the game. He will most likely miss a few games and all we could hope for is that this would be the worst injury for this season.

Nikola Jokic owners also had an injury scare when he banged knees with Rudy Gobert. Jokic ended up not playing the second half and could probably miss a few games, but the good news is, he was seen warming up or testing his knee out at half time. So it looks like he'll be fine.

The biggest worry it seems, is the one with Damian Lillard. According to Josh Lloyd (who did some Woj reporting), Lillard may have an injury that is bothering him. Well, it was said that this injury has been bothering him since last season and was re-aggravated during the Olympics. Now whether this is true or not, we are not yet sure so we'll have to wait for some confirmation from the Trailblazers.
