Slowly, teams are sending feelers about possibly shutting down their players. I guess something we kinda expect. Zion Williamson has possibly played his final fantasy game this season after suffering a broken finger. Brandon Ingram, though said to be day-to-day, could be held out until the end of the season too! Then we have the Toronto players - Fred VanVleet, Kyle Lowry, OG Anunoby. We are not sure at this point when we'll see them again or if they'll even finish out the season. Kristaps Porzingis, who is also suffering from an injury could be held out already for the rest of the regular season.

Top players missing out games could now mean lower seeded teams could have better chances of winning their matchups and somehow this evens the playing field a bit. Still using your moves wisely and being very strategic with your adds will still play a big role on whether you win your matchups or not, so do not put your guard down.

Lebron James could play next week and for those who will still be alive next week for their finals and you own James, is he still worth playing? Commish and I feel Lebron has more downside and the upside isn't too nice because of his injury. So with 2 back-to-backs next week, is he still worth holding on to knowing that he could just play half of those games?

Staying with the Lakers, Andre Drummond has been a disaster so far for the Lakers. Fantasy-wise he's given some nice games every once in a while, but not close to those mouth-watering stats he used to have in a bad team. Another disaster this season is Anthony Davis. Davis went down again with an injury, though this one looks minor. Still, he has never been close to his top 5 status during draft day and could be considered the biggest bust this season.

For tomorrow's games, it will be interesting to see who plays for the Houston Rockets as even Kelly Olynyk is considered game-time decision, leaving them with only 4 players without any injury.

At this point in the fantasy basketball season the known names, the top players will either be a constant performers or late scratches. So it will boil down to which supporting cast is better. Kelly Olynyk could be the gamechanger that can win you your fantasy league. Who would've thought right? With the Denver Nuggets decimated in the point guard position, it is Facundo Campazzo who is helping his owners with his assists and steals (he had another 5-steal game!). Mo Bamba has been really solid since Nikola Vucevic was traded and he should not be dropped from here on. If you need stocks (steals and blocks), did you ever consider a small forward in Matisse Thybulle to be the biggest contributor? Maybe except for Olynyk, these names have been waiver worthy through out the season, but these names have been game changers so far and could be the winning add in the next couple of weeks.

Commish and I also got into the discussion of why some top seeded teams dropped out early in the playoffs and why bottom seeded teams should never give up. Another fun discussion as always!

We kick off the quickie with some injury updates on key players in your lineups - Zach Lavine, Nikola Vucevic, Lebron James, Tyrese Haliburton, Malcolm Brogdon, etc. At this point, it will be easier to decide who to drop versus who to keep and wait for since everyone's in the semifinals pretty much. We give out some waiver pickup recommendations as always.

But today, Russell Westbrook got his fantasy managers off to a great start! Forget the scoring and the six turnovers, I'm sure you'll take that anytime as long as he gives you a 20-20! That 24 assists alone was probably good for 4-5 players already same with that 21 rebound. He has been a beast these past few weeks and if you are still alive and you own RWB, I'm sure you are feasting after day 1.

For this week's episode we invited our good friend and YouTuber Mark Ches to share about basketball shoes! We talked about shoes in our younger days and some of the current ones that are good value for money. To be honest, I am not big on basketball shoes since I don't play a lot of basketball, but I was very curious as well about this topic. For one, collecting shoes has been a big phenomenon over the past few years and two for a casual player, I wanted to know which shoes are really good for playing at the same time will not leave too much dent on my wallet. 

Since we've all known each other for quite a while, this was a chill conversation with some "kulitan" in between.

Another week done and we hope you survived that exciting week of NBA fantasy playoffs. If you did, here's our week 19 discussion. 

Injuries and rests are still plaguing the league and more fantasy managers got victimized this week (of all days on judgement day!). Gregg Popovic, the Father of Load Management, rested his starters Demar Derozan, Dejounte Murray and Jakob Poeltl. Toronto rested Fred Vanvleet (not surprising) and OG Anunoby. The biggest casualty of injury for today was Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Haliburton. Brown has been the number one fantasy player for the past 2 weeks so if he will need to miss time, that will definitely hurt his owners. Haliburton on the other hand has been great without De'Aaron Fox, and we wouldn't be surprised if he just sits out the next couple of weeks. Still for both, good to wait for official updates.

Of course, we also discuss some drop candidates and a lot of potentially good adds for week 19.

The good news for Domantas Sabonis owners was that he played today and put up a stat line that could give you some separation against your opponent. The bad news, many were not able to roster him early enough for them to use him. I guess Sabonis can be considered one of the most frustrating player in this year's fantasy playoffs.

On another end, there have been a number of unlikely heroes that are difference makers this week in fantasy playoffs. Khem Birch made sure adding him was not a waste of move as he has been solid in four games with the Raptors thus far. He still has another game tomorrow that can put that finishing touches on your opponents. Oshae Brissett was solid without Sabonis in the lineup, today he was still really good getting another 4 blocks. Frank Jackson has been a name we've been mentioning as our waiver special if you need 3s and he is showing that he could be rostered and not just a streamer. Guillermo Hernangomez (the one in New Orleans) has been a double double machine since replacing Steven Adams in the starting lineup.

These players may not have been performing all season long, but given the minutes, they are now helping a lot of us managers compensate the string of injuries that may have hit us. Hopefully you were able to scoop them up in time for these playoffs.

Timing is another factor in fantasy basketball that can win you a matchup. Today, Jayson Tatum hit sixty points, I'm sure to the delight of patient owners who were able to withstand his subpar start early this season. Dejounte Murray has been red hot this week and if you own him, I'm sure you are thankful that it came at a perfect time. Hopefully both players will be able win you this round and sustain their hot streak towards week 19.

Lebron James and Trae Young returned to action today and if you own them and was able to keep your matchups close enough for them to put the finishing touches, I'm sure you are delighted about their return. Lamelo Ball will most likely be back on the court tomorrow, another very timely return as Charlotte has back-to-back games to end week 18. Timing. 

Like we always say in the playoffs, all we have to do is keep it close until the last day of the week and leave a move so you can add according to your need. Add that to the perfect timing of these returns and your chances of winning your league definitely increases.

So I guess that trip to the strip club did him good. Kevin Porter Jr went wild today scoring 50 points on 60% FG. He also had nine 3s and 11 assists. Not sure which side of KPJ were you on, but hopefully it is on the side where you own him.

Injuries still continue to plague fantasy managers with Malcolm Brogdon and Giannis Antetokounmpo as the latest casualties. Both injuries though does not look too serious, but with only a couple of weeks left in the regular season, we won't be surprised if teams rest their stars before the playoffs.

Commish and I also discussed whether you go all in and try to win the matchup even if it means dropping some players who are just on short term injuries but possibly could miss the rest of the week or should you keep them and just prepare for the battle for third?
