  • Center of Attention Episode 37: Always Do The Right Thing

On this week's Thursday show I talk more about the climate of the country and the racial tension and where I see it stemming from. There has been plenty of pain and anger in the world but if we continue to persevere there is no way this lasts forever. I talk about "Do the Right Thing" Spike Lee's movie I tried to talk about with Dom the other week (hence the episode title). Then I finish with some sports breakdowns and a revision of the Lumberjack competition from Monday. Kind of eclectic and kind of all over the place but that is basically my life right now and I might as well be authentic at the moment right?

  • Center of Attention Episode 34: ESPN 10 The Daygo with Dom Pallotto

The brothers are back, and better the ever. As discussed last week for the sports podcasts until the professional leagues return we will look at one of the weird and wild sports that probably belong on ESPN 8 from the movie "Dodgeball" and this week comes in hot as Dom and I discuss Paddle Board boxing, and the Finnish hobby horsing championship from 2019. To break up the silliness and address a very important issue in the country we discuss the riots related to George Floyd's death and compare the whole situation to the classic 1989 Spike Lee movie "Do the Right Thing". Though we are two white men from middle class suburbia we try to give our opinion and make sure that we are not apart of the silent portion of the country who inadvertently stand with the racism that has existed in the world. Then to round out the show we look at the Denver Broncos, our hometown team, and where they are from the past couple years with their 2020 draft picks and play the schedule game with them (you might not be happy with us if you are a fan of the Broncos).

  • Center of Attention Episode 33: Breaking up is Hard to Do
Sorry for the delay on this episode, the last 36 hours have been rough and I address it as much as I can while still being fair to the other person involved. Besides that I talk "The Last Dance" final episodes and the series as a whole, what is next for Cam Newton, and is Tyron Woodley going to be making another run at a title in the UFC. I appreciate the support for the show so far and it is one of the reasons why I want to keep going with this show and why I know I'll be able to make it through theses tough times.

  • Center of Attention Episode 32: Tough Times Don't Last, Tough People DO

This week's episode of Center of Attention once again is a mixed bag of topics in the sporting word and beyond. After not having live sports to break down since March Jimmy discusses some of the more melancholy events of the last few weeks, namely Shad Gaspard's train passing as well as the Utah Jazz head coach Jerry Sloan. On the bright side the NHLPA and Executive board both passed a 24 team playoff format to resume and finish the 2019-2020 season, both passed the proposal and now the only thin standing between hockey returning or not is the NHL commissioner himself. As these have been trying times remember to keep your head up and find something each day to smile or laugh about so we can all get through this.

  • Center of Attention Episode 31: Nothing but Some Hound Dogs with Jackie Fiore and Dom Pallotto

Loyal listener, and Dom and I's Grandma Jackie Fiore joins the podcast for her first appearance to talk about a lot of things about the world today and how our family came to be. Of the members of our family the three of us probably talk the most and are most ready to share opinions, good or bad. Jackie and I are also working on an anthology I am ghost writing for her about our family lineage, since our Grandfather Allen died young and the grandkids haven't been able to experience his quirks but are told we embody them all in our own ways. Jackie also has some unique perspectives on the current situation in the country having worked at hospitals during the Colorado Aids epidemic while having a gay son, and having a husband in the Navy during the Vietnam War. I know you will enjoy listening to her as much as we love hearing her stories.

Follow the social medias on twitter @COAPOD73 and @Jimmy Pallotto, Instagram @proud_wop, and Dom @dompallotto63 for both.

When we finish the anthology we will have a better idea about how we will distribute it outside of our family involved.

  • Center of Attention Episode 30: Dirty Thirty with Dom Pallotto

As promised for about two weeks Dom finally makes his appearance on the sports podcast to discuss draft picks, but since we started recording later at night we go off on tangents as they come mostly related to sports. We talk draft picks, blocking players bigger than us, and we play the schedule game from last week I did with the bengals but this week we play it with the jets. Hopefully you like hearing our banter and the fact we share the same brain and sound similar and can finish each others thoughts before the other even sets up the sentence. This is one of my favorite episodes to have recorded in a while and I hope you all enjoy it as well too.

  • Center of Attention Episode 29: Stallion out in Nature

This episode will either be one of your favorites or not depending if you like my long winded rants about a whole bunch of everything. From my backyard today enjoying some sunshine I get the chance to take a breath and think about what I see going on in the world. If nothing else this should help you waste about an hour of your day if you need it.
