On today's episode of Center of Attention we get the better half of the relationship of one of our former guests Christian Saez in the form of his fiancé Marissa Manzanares. Marissa was gracious to come on and spend an hour of her day to talk with me when she could have been trolling news sources to break stories on her station's twitter account, follow them @SWXRightnow especially in the Pacific Northwest to keep up with Washington State football and Gonzaga basketball. Marissa talks about her job as the social media reporter for the station and some of the challenges she's had with confirming a story and some of the news she's had to break. She gives her thoughts on Kobe and then honestly we are just some old friends catching up who haven't been able to in forever. I actually met Marissa before I met Christian and can't be more excited and happy for them in their upcoming wedding. The Italian Stallion is back with another episode of Center of Attention, this week's episode was kind of thrown together on the fly but today we will be having two separate guests. I was able to get my brother Dom Sunday night right after the Super Bowl ended to talk about his thoughts to the game in it's rawest form, then we finishing up talking about the Royal Rumble in the WWE. Then Monday night my dad Jim took the time to give me his thoughts and we talk about the state of the game as well as the Super Bowl itself and whether or not the XFL will be successful. I also gave my thoughts about the unfortunate death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna. Niko Bryant returns to the podcast today... Hey don't blame me that he's on again within the same month we didn't schedule out the timing of the first podcast to when the Connor fight was going to be. All that said Niko and I talk about some good stuff on this episode. He was able to go to the fights in Vegas at T-Mobile arena live and in person so he tries to describe the feeling of that atmosphere. Then we talk more about the landscape of MMA and where Connor and Cerronne go from their last fight. We talk football, we recorded this the week after the Conference Championship games were played so about a week prior to the release of this episode. Christian is the reason I am the sports director for KWSB here in Gunnison. Christian graduated last spring with a degree in Communication Arts and currently studying a Master's degree at Gonzaga University in Spokane. Christian and I used to co-host the radio show I took over this year, Gunnison Sports Talk Radio, so the episode heavily revolves around the world of sports but this platform gives us the ability to be more open in our opinions and talk longer about topics that we both enjoy. Back for a solo episode of the podcast today, after the last few weeks being pre-recorded interviews while I was at home spending time with friends and family for the holidays. This weeks episode is a special one recorded last Thursday before we had to go back to school Niko Bryant and I got to sit down for the first time in months to catch up and talk about a lot of things, mainly sports, but I'm so glad we got to get this done. Niko is one of my oldest and closest friends, we started playing football together in 7th grade and went all the way through Senior Year of high school. He's one of the people who can match me step for step in football, MMA and boxing, and WWE discussion which we spend a good portion of the podcast talking about. He's one of the best dudes I know and will be graduating from Grand Canyon University in May with a Sports Management/Agency degree and has applied for the CAA internship after he finishes school.
