New evidence in the New York fraud trial has revealed that Trump's valuation of Mar-a-Lago was 20 times higher than what his tax representative had valued the property at. This is just one of several revelations that have come out about Trump's over-valuing of his properties in recent weeks, but few people have heard about it. The media is laser focused on Trump's meltdowns about the trial, and it now looks like those meltdowns are meant to distract us from what's happening.

Also, it is no secret that Marjorie Taylor Greene has been angling to become Donald Trump's choice for Vice President in next year's election, but that's not the only office that she is currently eyeing. In comments to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Greene again suggested she may run for President, saying that "we'll see what happens", meaning she wants to wait and see how 2024 plays out. This is not an idle threat from Greene, and whether it's the presidency or another office, she wants more power than she has now, and that's horrifying. 

And Lauren Boebert has always tried to cast herself as a God-fearing Christian woman of upstanding moral values, but her handsy display at the recent Beetlejuice musical threw that image out the window. And according to interviews with religious voters in her district, they aren't willing to forgive and forget. Instead, these voters that saved Boebert in the last election say that they are still shocked at her behavior, and that could cost Boebert her seat even before next year's general election.

Finally, Ty Cobb, a former lawyer for Donald Trump, said during an interview with CNN this week that he's confident that Trump is going to jail - and he says it'll be much sooner than anyone thinks. Cobb says that the constant gag order violations from Trump will eventually leave judges with no choice but to put him in jail, possibly even going as far as revoking his pre-trial release. All three of Donald Trump's adult children are scheduled to testify in the New York fraud trial this week, with Trump himself scheduled to take the stand next Monday. And while they may think that pleading the 5th Amendment will help them, it will actually do the opposite. In a civil trial, pleading the 5th will not have questions or answers stricken from the record, and instead it can be used in the final verdict determination. 

And Donald Trump can clearly feel the walls closing in around him as the criminal and civil trials move forward, and he's lashing out in the only way that he knows how: By threatening others so they can feel the way that he feels. Specifically, Donald Trump is now threatening President Biden, and in a late night rant on Truth Social, Trump warned Biden that "the same thing can happen to you." Trump seems to be forgetting that Biden is already being investigated by Republicans and has been all year. 

Also, during a rally in Iowa over the weekend, Donald Trump again told the crowd that his wife, Melania, doesn't think that he looks presidential when he does all the goofy things that he does on stage. But then he told the crowd that even though she may be right, he still ignores her for the hell of it. This may be the one time that Melania is actually giving solid advice, as Trump's antics on stage are what turn off everyone that isn't a member of the MAGA cult, as Farron explains.

And finally, Judge Tanya Chutkan has put Donald Trump's gag order back in place after temporarily lifting it while he appeals the decision, and the former president went completely bonkers on social media following the decision. Trump claimed that the "very biased, Trump-hating judge" has now violated his First Amendment rights, even though that argument has not been completely vetted by the appellate courts, and went on to continue attacking both the judge and the Biden administration.

 Jenna Ellis, the former lawyer for Donald Trump who pleaded guilty and agreed to turn state's witness this past week, is now facing ANOTHER investigation in the state of Colorado. This investigation is being conducted by the state's Office of Attorney Regulation Counsel, and they confirmed to the media that the investigation has been opened. Ellis could face serious penalties in Colorado for her actions.

Also, prosecutors in Georgia are hoping to turn up the heat on Rudy Giuliani now that they are getting a steady flow of co-defendants agreeing to take plea deals. With Jenna Ellis deciding to cooperate with prosecutors, the next highest person on that corruption ladder would be Giuliani, and he leads directly to Trump. But with all the pressure, could Giuliani shock everyone and accept a deal? Or will his loyalty to Trump win the day?

And even though Republicans are telling him that his wifi detection devices are illegal to have in or near polling stations next year, MyPillow founder Mike Lindell is insisting that he is going to do it anyway. Lindell claimed in an interview late last week that his devices aren't actually "wifi sniffers" and he claims that Republican officials asked him to develop the technology. Even if these things are true - which they likely aren't - it still doesn't make them legal to use.

Finally, Republicans in Congress put forth a motion to expel Republican Representative George Santos last week, and the motion will come to a vote on the floor at some point this week. In response to the motion, Santos sent out a cryptic and creepy message on social media that left both his critics and supporters begging him to seek help. The vote this week also places enormous pressure on new House Speaker Mike Johnson. There's a lot at stake with this simple maneuver.

Donald Trump suffered another mental breakdown this past week after Judge Arthur Engoron refused to reverse the $10,000 sanctions that he ordered after Trump violated the gag order again, and the former President got on Truth Social and accused the judge of "going crazy" with his "hatred". Trump knows exactly what he is doing with statements like this, but that aside, he doesn't have much room to say that anyone else is "going crazy."

Also,  Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz feels like he is on top of the world right now after he finally succeeded in getting "MAGA Mike Johnson" elected Speaker, so Gaetz is using his new powers to hit back at his fellow Republicans. During his podcast late last week, Gaetz accused fellow Republican Congressman Jason Smith of "living a lie," in response to Smith saying that Gaetz is a liar. But Gaetz went even further and said that all Republicans in Congress "know what I'm talking about." What does this cryptic rant mean?

And finally, Donald Trump is known for his campaign rallies, as they were a central part of both of his previous presidential bids and his administration. But those rallies are becoming a thing of the past, with the former president now averaging just 2 per month, instead of multiple rallies per week. Part of the problem is that he just can't draw a crowd like he used to, and the few people who attend are leaving halfway through (or earlier) because he says the same thing every time. He can't even .

New York Attorney General Letitia James filed a motion in court this week to force Ivanka Trump to come and testify in the New York fraud trial. This would mean that Ivanka would have to testify against her father, her brothers, and the company itself. Her name has appeared on some of the documents that have been used as evidence, so her presence at the trial is absolutely warranted. 

Also, in a sermon several years ago, new Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson tried to pin the blame for American mass shootings on the teaching of evolution in schools, saying that people are being taught natural selection which leaves them with no morals. He made similarly stupid comments this week after the latest American tragedy, and it shows that we won't get any meaningful action on gun control with people like this in power.

Finally,  in a court filing this week, Donald Trump's lawyers not only doubled down on their claims of presidential immunity, but they also argued that Trump is guaranteed presidential immunity UNTIL THE END OF TIME. The lawyers claim that this is what the Founding Fathers wanted, although they had no evidence to support this claim. Farron breaks down the latest idiotic legal ramblings of Trump's lackluster legal team.

 For the second time in the past week, Donald Trump falsely declared victory in court after he was sanctioned by the judge. After getting hit with a $10,000 fine on Wednesday, Trump walked out of the courtroom and told reporters "we won the trial, and the judge should end this trial immediately." Again, this came immediately after Trump got punished by the judge, and his guilt has already been determined by the summary judgement. 

Also, Republican leaders in Colorado have officially had enough of Lauren Boebert, and they are saying that her "handsy" display during the recent Beetlejuice performance was the last straw for them. Republican leaders are now actively recruiting primary challengers, with one of them already way ahead in the fundraising. It looks like Boebert may suffer the same fate as one-term Republican Representative Madison Cawthorn, and hopefully she'll be done before the general election next year. 

And Donald Trump became so enraged at Judge Arthur Engoron in court this week that he stood up and stormed out of the courtroom, forcing the Secret Service agents protecting him to awkwardly chase after him outside. Trump got mad after the judge refused to immediately dismiss the case, which isn't even possible considering the fact that guilt has already been determined and ruled on in the summary judgement. But Trump's outburst of emotion isn't going to help him when it comes time for a verdict.

Finally, special prosecutor Jack Smith is urging Judge Tanya Chutkan to not only reimpose the gag order on Donald Trump that she has temporarily lifted, but also to revise the conditions of his release to allow her to throw him in jail for witness intimidation. This came after Trump said that he didn't think Mark Meadows would take an immunity deal (which he did,) and followed up by saying that those who take such a deal are "weaklings and cowards." This is a direct comment about a known potential witness, and Smith is tired of waiting for the judge to take action.

Donald Trump is having a very hard time processing the fact that all of his former friends and allies are taking plea deals, with his former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows being the latest to accept an immunity deal to testify against him. These flips are huge for prosecutors, and Trump knows it, so that's why he took to Truth Social to have a complete mental breakdown as the walls continue to close in. 

Also, a dark money group run by Sidney Powell claimed in their Substack newsletter this week that Powell was "extorted" by prosecutors in Georgia to take a plea deal, and Powell herself has still been pushing 2020 election lies on her social media account. These actions could easily result in a revocation of her plea agreement, opening her up for almost immediate prosecution under the full charges that were brought against her.

And during a speech in New Hampshire this week, Donald Trump went on a completely bizarre rant about the spelling of the word "us," saying that he only just now realized that the two letters of that word are the same as US (as in United States.) He then went on to whine about how no one gives him credit for being a great speaker, and then claimed that he's so handsome his speeches are like "beauty pageants." To say that he has rocks for brains would be an insult to rocks. 

Finally, Donald Trump's lawyers attempted to overwhelm the court this week as a filing deadline neared, and they managed to slip in four different motions requesting action before a midnight cutoff time. But one of the filings might be the dumbest thing you've ever heard, as Trump's lawyers are literally claiming that the prosecution didn't actually charge Trump with any crimes, and that they somehow failed to state what he's being charged with. That's 100% not true, as Farron explains.

During a campaign rally in New Hampshire this week, Donald Trump confusingly told a crowd of his supporters that they do NOT need to vote in 2024. He said that instead of voting, they should just show up at the polls to make sure there is no fraud happening. Statistically, his supporters are more likely than any other group to commit fraud, so having them not vote would actually cut down on fraud. But either way, encouraging people to NOT vote for you is certainly a new strategy for a political candidate.

Also, mark your calendars, because Donald Trump says that he's releasing some "numbers" next week about the 2020 election that are going to "make your head spin." If you're wondering why he doesn't go ahead and just release them right now, then you aren't alone, but you likely also realize that he's full of it. Trump has no evidence of anything - he's simply trying to taint the potential jury pool for his upcoming criminal trials by confusing them.  

And MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell recently revealed his plan to ensure that no one is cheating in the next election: Small surveillance devices that can be used to detect wifi signals at polling stations. Not only would this idea NOT work to do what Lindell thinks it would do, but Republicans are reminding him that these kinds of surveillance devices are actually BANNED in most areas of the country. Lindell could be looking at huge felony violations if he deploys his devices, but he doesn't seem to care at the moment.

Finally, all of the dominos are starting to fall in Georgia, as another former Trump lawyer has accepted a plea deal from Fani Willis. The latest to take the deal is Jenna Ellis, and she follows in the footsteps of Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro, making her the third lawyer that worked for Trump to take a deal. This is blowing up Trump's "advice of counsel" defense, and it shows that Willis is willing to go easy on anyone that can help her score the big victory at the end.

The Republican Party is in complete disarray, and Republicans across the country are pinning the blame squarely on Donald Trump. Trump pushed Republicans to oust McCarthy as House Speaker, and that decision has certainly created unnecessary chaos for the Party. But is Trump really the all-powerful puppet master pulling the strings from behind the scenes, or is he a convenient scapegoat for Republicans who don't want to admit what their party has become? 

And according to Mar-a-Lago member Anthony Pratt, an Australian billionaire, Donald Trump used to brag to him about what he was doing as President, likely revealing state's secrets that he wasn't allowed to spill. This revelation came from a recording of Pratt, who has spoken at length with special prosecutor Jack Smith regarding Trump's hoarding of classified documents. If what Pratt is saying is true, it could easily doom Trump at trial.

Also,  Republican Representative Lauren Boebert is not doing well with her reelection campaign, and her third quarter fundraising was pathetic compared to her competitors. Not only did she get outraised 4 to 1 by her Democratic opponent, but her Republican primary challenger managed to pull in half of what Boebert raised. On top of that, Boebert has been consistently trailing in the polls, and her antics recently aren't helping her case. 

And finally, according to Australian billionaire Anothony Pratt, Donald Trump wanted his wife Melania to strut around Mar-a-Lago wearing only a bikini so that he could show her off to all of the club members and try to make them jealous. Trump only views women as objects to be either desired or discarded, and he doesn't get enough credit for being a complete and total scumbag. Of all of his scandals, his treatment and degradation of women seems to always slip back under the radar.

The former lawmaker who authored and co-sponsored Florida's notorious "Don't Say Gay" Bill has been sentenced to four months in prison for defrauding the Paycheck Protection Program that was put in place at the start of the COVID pandemic. The lawmaker - who resigned in disgrace at the end of last year - secured a loan of $150,000 based on fraudulent information submitted to the government and will spend the next few months behind bars. But the people of Florida will continue to suffer under the legislation of a criminal for a much longer time.

Also,  a very tearful Marjorie Taylor Greene whined to Alex Jones last week about how emotional she gets when she thinks about Donald Trump going to prison. Greene is apparently just so upset about the thought of Trump being held accountable for his actions that she has trouble functioning. But Greene may want to take a closer look at their relationship and ask herself why this even matters to her - other than the obvious political gain she gets from it. 

And finally, Ivanka Trump is terrified about the thought of having to testify against her father and brothers that her lawyers have filed a flimsy and almost laughable motion in court to prevent her from having to testify. Her lawyers are arguing that she was already dismissed from the case, and that making her testify is somehow a violation of that, but that's now how the law works at all. She clearly knows that she has information that will harm her family, and that's what scares her the most.
