We have been dancing around these things called "Gifts of the Spirit." In this message we will be taking a deeper look into what these Gifts are and their purpose in the Body.

The Corinthian church was full of division, and much of it was caused because people claiming to be Jesus' followers were pretending to do things by the power of the Spirit, when in fact they were not. Thousands of years later, there is temptation among God's people to do the same - claim to be equipped by the Spirit but actually operating in their own power. What does this look like today?

1 Corinthians 12:1-11

Jesus is the man we look to when we want to understand what unity in the body should be. In 1 Corinthians 11, we get a snapshot of Jesus' last night on earth, sitting around a table breaking bread with his disciples.

Scripture:
1 Corinthians 11:23-34, Mark 14:17-26, John 18:10-11

Some of Jesus final prayers were about the unity of His people. Of all the things that Jesus could have prayed for...why unity? This week we'll unpack the power that unity has...and the power that divison has. We'll see that Jesus cared so much about unity in the church that He was willing to give His life for it. And we'll unpack what role each believer needs to play in seeking unity in the Church!

In this message we go through Galatians 6 and Paul's message of humbly and gently helping those of faith when they sin. God calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves and that all are created equal in His eyes. Will you decide to live in judgement of others' sins, or understand that we are all sinners working together as the body of Christ to fulfill His truth.

Scripture:
Galatians 6, Proverbs 27:17, 1 Corinthians 12:25-27, Romans 3:23, John 8:1-8, Matthew 7:3-5, Psalm 1:1-3,

Christians are freed from condemnation from our sin, but yet we still wrestle. As long as our flesh is alive we will battle with sin. Yet the Bible tells us that as we journey with Jesus we will become more alive in Him and more dead to our sin. This process of sanctification is a lifelong journey!

Galatians 5 NLT, John 15:1-17 NLT

As Christians we accept our salvation by faith, but often continue to struggle to obtain sanctification by works. In Galatians 3, Paul calls out the Galatians for doing this and points them in a better direction, living by faith.

Scripture:
Galatians 3:1-5, Galatians 3:6-9, Galatians 3:10-14, Galatians 3:15-19, Galatians 3:20-22, Galatians 3:23-29
