The gift of prophecy is one of depth and can often show evidence of itself in encouragement. Being able to speak life into one another, not only tears down lies, but can rejuvenate our spirits. The Word of God reminds us that the power of life and death are in the tongue and that these words last lifetimes, not just moments. In this message, Pastor Jeremy Johnson speaks on the gift of prophecy and three different types of prophetic personalities that people operate in.
Just as pain is to the body, so is your conscience to your spirit. Your conscience was given to you by God to help discern and receive His voice. When you first began your walk with the Lord, your conscience was renewed, and as you spend time with the Lord, the Word of God becomes etched into your heart. The enemy will always try to muffle the voice of God in your life, and he attacks your conscience by trying to sear it with his own lies. If he can't sear your conscience with lies, he will muddy or corrupt your conscience and how it hears the Word of God. There is good news, though! He can wash and renew your conscience with the blood of Jesus! In this message, Pastor Jeremy Johnson continues the series, "Static: Hearing God Through All The Noise," by unpacking the biblical truth of the importance and function of your conscience.
Have you ever seen a butterfly and thought to yourself, "Wow that's a beautiful caterpillar with wings!" Probably not. When a caterpillar goes through the transformation of becoming a butterfly, it sheds off the old and becomes new. It is no longer a caterpillar, but a brand new creation. Likewise with you; when you transform and become a new creation in Christ, you shed off the old. You are no longer the old, dead person you once were, but you are alive in Christ and you are transformed! In today's podcast, Pastor Jeremy Johnson helps us to remember it's not just a one-time transformation that sustains our relationship with God. God's Word calls you to daily meet with God to transform and renew your mind, and when this happens, you will not conform to this world!
You've all heard about those "burning bush" moments, where God speaks in a big way, and it's undeniable that it's His voice. It happened in the Bible to Moses and Paul, and it happens to people today, but that's not the only way God speaks. He speaks in the quiet whisper like He did with Samuel and Elijah, and it's just as powerful as those big encounters. The only way you can hear it, though, is if you're actually listening. In this podcast, Pastor Jeremy Johnson leads us to a better understanding of how we can learn to properly discern the voice of God and grow in our own walks!
God is passionate about having a relationship and speaking with us face to face. As believers, we are called to sit and spend time with our Creator in order to know His voice as He guides us daily. However, learning how to discern the voice of God in our lives can prove to be challenging when there is so much static around us. We learn in this message that there are five voices fighting for our attention: the voice of God, the voice of our flesh, the voice of our conscience, the voice of the enemy, and the voice of others. In the midst of all these voices battling for our attention, Pastor Jeremy Johnson reminds us of the importance of our daily time with the Lord and how spending this time with Him helps us decipher God's voice. When we spend time with Him, we not only get to know who He is, but we realize who we are. It is in that place that we can be effective ministers in our daily lives.
Fearless turned 4! As we continue to grow as body, we must take the time to appreciate where the Lord has brought us from and cast vision for the days yet to come. In this special Vision Sunday message, Pastor Jeremy Johnson dives into the power of our words, unpacking the biblical truth of what it means to speak life into yourself and others around you. This is a timely message that reminds us of the power of life and death in the tongue.
As believers, we have become accustomed to allowing our salvation be enough. We look at the heroes of faith like Peter and Paul as the extreme Christians. They seem to have faith on another level or an excess of the presence of the Holy Spirit. We must reshape this thinking and realize that we are given the same access to the Holy Spirit that they had, the same commission to heal the sick, raise the dead, make disciples, and bring the Gospel to the lost. In this podcast, Pastor Jeremy Johnson talks about the importance of becoming disciples and discipling others. This powerful message will challenge you to remember we were never meant to live life on the "basic" level. Christ has an abundant life planned for you, where you not only do what Jesus did, but even greater things!
How many of us can be honest and say we've had some downright crazy thoughts before? How many of those crazy thoughts do we let have authority over us? More often than not, we let our own thoughts become the focus of our lives. In Philippians 4:8, Paul reminds us what we should focus on instead of those crazy thoughts. We have a multitude of good things to think about, yet we always seem to be wanting what we can't, or shouldn't have. In this podcast, Pastor Christy Johnson leads us to start focusing on truth instead of the facts, and to begin interrogating our thoughts, leading us to freedom!
God has left us with His word, and His word is a lamp to our feet; it's not a flood light revealing everything ahead of us. He wants us to trust Him every step of the way by relying on His word, but sometimes we let pride get in the way and we decide that maybe our way is better than God's way. But it takes humility in our lives to go where God is leading us. If you want healing in your life you have to do it God's way, even if it doesn't feel like it's the best way. Sometimes we have to go backwards in order to go forward. Maybe it's time to let God's way of doing things take precedence over your own way!
We've probably all seen that post on Instagram where your friend is sitting on the beach, or on a yacht relaxing and living out their "best life" with the hashtag #FavorAintFair. But is God's favor actually not fair? Is God not a just God? No! Favor is fair, and God is a just God! We all have the same opportunities to receive that favor and blessing from God, but it is directly dependent on how we live and how we line up our lives to the Word of God. In this podcast, Pastor Christy Johnson leads us to a better understanding of the favor of God and gives some practical teaching on how to receive it.
