This passage is a favorite among Christians: Jesus' call for us to abide. As Jesus walks closer to the cross, He continues His charge to His disciples, but not without reminding them again the only way to love and do as He did is to remain connected to the True Vine. Abiding is not another activity or "to do;" it's an invitation.
