- FAP-87 Goblin Slayer: Goblin‘s Crown - What Is He, Batman!?
We conclude this week with a movie. Although given the length of the actual movie we both feel it is more along of the lines of an OVA. The story after the first 30 minutes which is basically a recap of the series, it starts picking up steam delivering some good story and good animation while also giving you more detail about the goblins. This is something that we both liked but if you have not seen the series' first you should go back and watch it after you mow it.
Next week's choice is a series called Re: ZERO - Starting Life in Another World. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

44 min - FAP-86 Goblin Slayer The Series - He Is A Goblin To Goblins
This week's choice was a gritty one and we both thought it was really good. But viewers be warned as this there are graphic images shown that will offend some people. Goblin Slayer follows, well, Goblin Slayer as he slays, you guessed it, goblins. But the story is much deeper than that. You learn about the horrors of what goblins really are and that he is a true hero even when others do not think he is. This really shows as the series progress and the companions he acquires start to understand how hard it is to do what he does and the horrors that he has witnessed. Truly one that is well worth the watch.

47 min - FAP-85 Soul Eater - Fools! It‘s A Fist Full Of Bravery!
Soul Eater was a show for the books! In that, it was a 51-episode anime, and the ending was so flimsy that it a piece of paper could cut through it. Despite that the show was entertaining and it could be followed easily. It was not thought provoking and some of the characters were annoying. But for the most part, they stayed true to their character even with a ridiculous ending. Because when fighting a Kashin all you need is a fist full of bravery and a trail of incomplete information to defeat something that is evil and yet not evil at the same time.

1 hr 5 min - FAP-84 Okko‘s Inn - It‘s not even on the same level as Ghibli
Even though it was licensed by GKids it was nowhere near the quality it should have been. The story was decent and it did have book ends but the differences between subs and dubs were massive. Additionally, there are some points where it was one that made you scratch your head and go well that was kind of pointless. But it still had a decent overall story.
We also announced on the podcast that we actually pre-recorded some episodes so take some time off and while taking that time off we are watching a longer-running series!

29 min - FAP-83 Cheating Craft - There is more than 1 test!?
The Premise for this story seems like a good idea until it is actually put into play at that then it kinda all falls apart. There are some comedic parts to the show and Rick found it pretty enjoyable with decent anime and a build-up that was good till a point for Jack. There is one thing that we do both agree on and that is that the animation was good and the ending was left wide open.

26 min - FAP-82 Origin: Spirits of the Past - Because out-running gravity and lava is a thing
Origin is one movie where it turned out better than we were expecting but it still fell short of what we were hoping for. But for a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by a genetically modified forest on a moon, you really expect too much it was a nice change of pace from the normal. One of the biggest things that we found funny was that Agito for about half the time was yelling out Toola all the while being enhanced by the tree people of the forest so that he can take a cannon shot right to the face. All being said it is worth the watch.

31 min - FAP-81 Spirited Away - No Face Can Be Any Of Us
This was a movie that was well worth the watch. There is a lot that happens in this movie with a deeper meaning. With the aspects being reflective of us as a whole. The character No Face was a character that could be any of us showing what being gluttonous can do to someone. If you have not seen this movie then you should because it has a deeper meaning not just for how we act but in everything.

36 min - FAP-80 Record Of Grancrest War - It was Self-preservation to the extreme
The show was good for what it was although it would have been better if it was a 2 season show rather than 1 season. It has a good and solid start with a rather weak lackluster finish that did not leave a good taste in your mouth but even with that, it is a show that is worth the watch nonetheless. It even reminded and urged Jack to play some RTS games like he used to back in the day from how the show played out.

36 min - FAP-79 Dragon Ball Super Movie: Broly - Glad They Told A Different Story
We liked that it was a different take on the Brolly story. The story was well it was a Dragon Ball Super it had fighting and some comedy mixed in what more could you want from this? It delivers what you expect and not much more beyond that. But it does give you some different views on everyone which is a good thing.

30 min - FAP-78 Grimoire of Zero - It‘s Middle of the Road Show
The show is a great one if you are just starting on your journey of anime. However, if you have been a fan of the genre for a long time then this may feel a little cookie cutter for you as it did for Jack. The plot is easy to follow and easy to figure out with no real twists or turns. The animation though is good and it most certainly does give the sense that there will not be a season 2 since it does give it an actual conclusion.
