Featured Anime Podcast

This week we watched a movie and for a change, the scenery and the music were good along with the voice actors. The story not so much as it left a lot of questions. But it was certainly comedic in some spots and we both really enjoyed talking about it much more so than watching it. So it is worth a watch if you have not seen it and need something different to watch.

Next week's choice is a series called One Punch Man Season 2. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

This week's choice was a great one for both of us and we spend a fair amount of time praising it for what we think is a great show. It is a comedy that has some really funny moments. It is a parody on the superhero genre and we feel it does pay some tribute to some other great action anime. But even with all that while it is the perfect show for Rick, Jack has some reservations about it and gives it a slightly lower score because, well we all know he is hard to please.

Next week's choice is a movie called Psychic School Wars. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

Rick's score: 10 / 10

This was a nice change of pace for the shows and it was one that we both thought was good. The story was simple and easy to follow and fairly predictable but regardless, it was a good story and enjoyable. The characters are funny and unique and when they are introduced it is not rushed nor is the introduction forced but flows seamlessly in with the story.

This episode marks 2 years of podcasting and what a journey it has been! And what better way to hit episode 104 of the Featured Anime Podcast than with a really bad (disaster movie bad) OVA that is originally based on a game? We had our differing viewpoints and but overall we laughed at this movie at how bad it was. It is comically bad that is.

Next week is a series called Blend-S. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

This week's choice was certainly an interesting one. In that, it was confusing and odd. The animation style was odd and not something that we really cared for when it came to characters, the scenery was beautiful it certainly was one that took the majority of their budget. The voice actors were good the writing not so much. Would we watch it again? No, we would not. Was it worth the watch? No, it was not. The music in it though was tasteful and well done.

Next week is another movie Sin: The Movie. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

This week was the second season of Log Horizon. And honestly, it was not that great, at least the second half was not great. The first half was really good and we both loved those 12 episodes. But to the credit of the creators, the second half did give some motivation and background to the character. But, it could also have been done in a fraction of the episodes and still get the point across.

This week was a great one for both of us. It was truly a great trip down memory lane for both of us. The character development was great. The story was simple yet complex and. The animation was clean and no real flaws that stood out to us, which is why we both gave it a 10. We could not be happier with the show and feel that it is worth a watch even if you are not into anime that much.

The choice for this week was a recommendation by Tobiyashi067 on Twitter! This was a good pick and we both thought that the show overall was tastefully done and that it had a good story that was easy to follow but also was entertaining with the fact that it didn't really waste time trying to do a whole lot of back story development. They let the store be the story which was refreshing.

This was a great movie and well worth the watch. So much so that Rick and Jack actually want to buy a physical copy of it. It is an original work that actually has novels based on it which is a nice change of pace. The character development is solid, a great story that pulls you in and the icing on top is the great soundtrack. So if you are looking for a movie that will tug on your heartstrings a little in a good way and while giving you something entertaining to watch this is a movie for you!

Next week's choice came from Twitter and they suggested that we watch Uzaki-Chan Wants To Hang Out, so that is what we are doing. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

What a great choice from Rick for the final October episode, definitely one that you need to what when you need a gory horror story with a few jump scares in there! It had good animation and solid storytelling. Next week will be the one 'Cats' in discord recommended, meaning that "Your Name" will start us off with the first episode of November.
