Featured Anime Podcast

What a great choice this week was! The story was great (although predictable for Jack) it was not earth-shattering but it was entertaining and it answered almost all the questions it laid out for you. We also enjoyed that when there was something that did not make sense it made a full circle for you and answered the question which helped out a lot. The main character is written well and compels you to like him and his awkwardness. All in all, this is one show that we would both recommend you watch.

Next week's choice is Ghost In The Shell Movie (1995). Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

What a great choice for us to watch by Jeb off of our Discord Server and we were not disappointed in the choice! Especially for it being an original work but even with that being said it is certainly not without its flaws or disappointments. The animation was clean, the soundtrack was great and it ended with an absolute ending so that there is no leeway for a second season. It is something that we both would recommend that you watch at least once.

Next week's choice is The Misfit of Demon King Academy. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

This week was a trip down memory lane full of nostalgia for Rick not so much for Jack. The story as a whole has some good meaning in it even though the voice acting is not that great and the animation, for Jack, did hold up. The writing for how the main character was holds true to how a child should be even with the bad acting. If you are wanting to enjoy a trip down memory lane then this one is for you.

Thanks to a misunderstanding on Jack's part instead of them watching just 1 season of Tokyo Ghoul:re they watched both seasons of it. And luckily it was a good thing because season 1 of re was lackluster at best. It also never really answered any questions but instead, it just asked more questions and it did not give you any answers. But season 2 did give you answers and it did help you to understand some things about what was going on with the series. But even with that, they left us with more questions than anything else and make us wonder about what was going on. This among other various problems resulted in them giving mid to low scores.

Next week's choice is Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

Season 2 (or root A) is a straight continuation from the season and it picks up right where it left off too. Which makes it even better if you are watching it back to back. Not only do they help answer some of the questions that you had they also give you more insight as to what is going on. Again our favorite character is Hide and he plays a big role in this even though he is not the main character. The viewpoints on the series are interesting and we even thought of an idea for some fan fiction between 2 different anime/manga.

This week was a great choice and one movie that we both loved. It was a great story but what makes this one really interesting is that this Studio Ghibli movie is not technically a Studio Ghibli because it actually came out 1 year before the studio was created. It was the first movie directed by Miyazaki and it was also based on the manga that he wrote. All that aside the music is great and the animation even stands the test of time and it is worth the watch no matter who you are or your preference.

Next week's choice is Tokyo Ghoul Root A (season 2). Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

Aside from a one killer opening (literally), the character development is solid although a tad slow for 1 season, for Jack's taste. The pacing overall was just right none the less and it was something to behold. That all being said they left you with quite a few questions and with a feeling that makes you want to know what just happened or if Riza is even still alive. But the storytelling, visuals, and music when there are all great and it's certainly worth a watch.

This week was certainly an interesting one, even though it was not highly rated for us it still is part of a broader series of shows and movies from what we know. The show to start certainly did not give you an impression that the actors were great or that they even cared for the show to even try. But as the show progresses it lends itself to a more in-depth story with the reason why the acting was so bad. Because there was an actual reason why it was bad that helped save it even if only a little. But even with all the questions are you left with, the empty feeling you are given when you are done watching it just cut it down even more.

This week was part 2 of Terra... Yeah, that sums it up. It leaves you with a "What the hell?" type of feeling but not in a great way. They also changed a lot from the first season going from something more dark to a brighter more plot-driven season that focuses on some strong plot drugs, as we like to call it, and inconsistencies and it left you with more of a "what?" type of feeling.

Next week's choice is called Blood-C. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!

This week Jack recalled Rick doing a hard pass on Kiki's Delivery Service from the pre-show discussions of episode 115 (available to patrons only) and so because of that it was chosen. It is a story of journey and growth for them as well as for Kiki. Jack also tries to help answer some questions that were had as well as explain that the movie was actually based on children's books, that alone, answered a lot of questions that were had by Rick.

Next week's choice is the second season of TerraFormars. Have you seen next week's choice or one of the previous ones? Let us know what you thought of them or give us a recommendation on what we should watch next!
