Brentsville Supervisor, Jeanine Lawson joins us on Aktivate today to discuss the importance of voting and the general differences between Democrats and Republicans. KB and Steph begin the episode with a "Politics for Dummies" segment and Erica joins in as cohost.
Steph and KB share, separately, their thoughts and feelings on Sober October and their own journeys with alcohol. We challenge you to simply notice how alcohol affects your life and to prayerfully consider participating in Sober October.
Steph and KB chat about the last 90 days and the idea of walking into 2024 as the version of yourself you’ve always wanted to be instead of starting over at square one. They talk about habit stacking and what you have to do to make your vision more important than your fears.
The one, the only…Jay comes on with Steph today to talk bout the “masculine female.” Hear how from their second date both of their lives transformed.
How was Steph able to let so many walls down and what role did Jay’s mom play in his development as a young boy and man?
Our prayer is as you listen to our story, you are inspired by hope for change in your relationship with Christ, yourself, and your relationships. In Jesus name, Amen!
Get ready to spit out your coffee, ladies! This one got a little spicy with lots of laughs. KB shares more about what she’s being assigned to do in marriage coaching and a little “Godly dating” advice from Steph! They also had a very difficult (if you’re KB) convo about belly buttons!

Today on Aktivate, Steph and KB chat about the continued work KB is doing in her marriage and a date night fail that took place. Steph catches us all up on her big career move and how God continues to work in her life.
Here is a bonus episode from one of our favorite episodes. From September 16, 2019.
Steph and KB discuss some issues regarding their boys and the importance of advocating for our children.
Today, Alyssa (last name disclosed) joins Steph to talk about Human Trafficking. With the release of “Sound of Freedom” people are eager for information again. “Stand on truth or not and when you don’t stand on truth then the omission of the speaking is actually the acceptance of it and I know that’s a challenging thing for people to hear but when you don’t stand on truth, right or wrong, then you’re saying to the people around you that it’s okay…” As a society we have to do better and search for the truth. It is all around us. A21 and IJM are great resources also they have both been around a long time in this arena and are awesome sources of info.
Here are some book recommendations to help make talking to your children about their body parts and what is acceptable more comfortable and normal in your home. It starts with you.
We didn’t touch on porn awareness as a grooming technique but we use this with our kids to talk about the subject of porn and how it distorts the brain. Little known fact scientifically your brain chemistry looks the same on a scan while doing cocaine as it does while viewing porn. https://a.co/d/8ksECYC
Avg age of exposure to porn is 12 nationwide but some studies say it’s as low as 8 now. https://a.co/d/clwtr42 https://a.co/d/6YyF1BP
