We are Abraham's heirs, Jehovah's children. Covenants are irrevocable. and cannot be nullified by the law. Paul is writing to the Galatians to correct a mistake. The Covenant to Abraham was made by promise from God. Covenants are one person contracts. Salvation is not promised to the physical offspring, but only to those who have faith in Jesus Christ.-The Law came after the Promise. The law exists to deal Judicially with us. It teaches us about guild and shame.-The Law causes all to be imprisoned under sin. It tells us what sin is.-We now live under Faith, we are now in Christ. We are now the sons of God through Faith. If you belong to Christ, then you are heirs of Christ

In Proverbs 31, we see the perfect woman credentials. No woman can truly perform her life perfectly and many women today do not like to follow the guidelines of submission. In today's world there is insanity and the pride in it. In Proverbs 6 we see where man will not submit to anything but their own desires and happiness. This mindset makes its way into the church. Usually a root cause for division in the church is pride of not submitting.-In Ephesians 5-22-33 we read the description of wives and husbands submitting and of the husband being the covenant head over the family as Christ is over the church. We do not rule over the church. It is Christ.-Because of what happened in the garden women try to rule over the men as we truly see in today's world. This is a product of the fall.-In the church we see submission to the elders, who are to watch over our souls. They are bound by scripture to do this. -What we should desire is peace - prosperity of the church and reverence to Christ. Many times though we are too prideful to submit to God, therefore causing division in the church. We are to present our bodies as a living sacrifice to serve God and to be holy and acceptable.

Jesus is revealed in the Old Testament and had a role during those times. Remember LORD in all caps represents Jehovah or Jesus. Jesus makes himself known in Ezekiel. This is done by reversing and repeating the Exodus. Ezekiel was written at the beginning of the Babylonian captivity.-A key phrase in the book is -they shall know that I am -Jehovah-. This is repeated 70 times.-29 times in reference to judgement of Israel-24 times in reference judgement of the surrounding peoples-this phrase should strike reverence in our hearts and minds

Occasion of Babel-The Problem of Babel-God's Redemption of Babel--After Noah, there was only one language and common speech -vocabulary-. All were direct descendants of Noah. Over time, the people migrated away from Ararat. They came to the Plain of Shinar.-They wanted to make a name for themselves- to reach high into the heavens. They wanted to build a tower that would last forever. They wanted to be above every other name, But this name is reserved for Jehovah alone.-Jehovah God will protect His name. Here in Babel, He confuses the language. This also protects them from themselves. -As Christians, we all have in common, Jesus. Im Jesus we have redemption of body and soul, all of ourselves. In heaven, we all have one voice again in Christ.

The gospel is the outworking of God reconciling the world to himself. God invites all people to accept his offer of reconciliation. Why do we need to be reconciled to God- Because we, as sinners, are enemies of God and God is our enemy. How can we be reconciled to God- Only by faith in Jesus Christ, who became sin for us that we might be made the righteous of God in him. When should we seek reconciliation with God- Now, while we have the invitation before us.

Man's Culture is changed by the Gospel--Christ's Work. Paul asks the christians in Galatians- you foolish, what has happened to you- Why are you doing the things you do--We need to look back and see what Jesus has done in our lives. Paul argues--they were leaving the faith. has the flesh proved or perfected you- We are not saved by Bible study or reading, prayer or good deeds, but by faith alone.-Paul wanted the Galatians to seek the full work of Christ. How did we receive Christ- Christ was received by the work of the Holy Spirit. -The Spirit has worked in our hearts to give faith. We must ask ourselves do we see pattern of God-the Holy Spirit working in our lives--Jesus was cursed for us-Our sin is paid for-Justified.-Our new self is brought to live -we are new in Christ--We can begin new life

The New Testament is a means where we can see Christ and grow in his glory.-The role of the 2nd Person of the Trinity is often overlooked in the Old Testament. Jesus is Jehovah-the Son of God. Each manifestation of Jehovah in the OT is Jesus.-God -Jesus- is renewing the covenant as Jehovah. In Exodus 6, Jesus states- -I am Jehovah-. He desires his people to know him as Jehovah.-vs 4 covenant renewal-vs 5 deliverance-vs 6 Redemption -the Book of Exodus represents a picture of individual salvation.

This section is Paul giving a defence of his ministry, of his Apostolic status and of the Gospel. He breaks things down in 3 sections- -Reasons-His Call-Conformation-Paul also answers questions- Is the Gospel free- do works save- can works save.-Today we might ask questions about the So called New Perspective on Paul vs. the old Perspective.-We must remember that obedience is required, but not for salvation.-James tells us that faith without works is dead, works show salvation.-We are free to do good works in thanksgiving

What family do we belong to- judgment or glory. The godly line is the only line that wins at the end of the day. As children of God, we must live confidently. We must know our heritage as we abide in Christ. -There must be definite fruit in our lives. Jesus is the root of a tree, which then bears good fruit. -The world does not know God or His children. As God's children, we have many privileges and blessings. To hope in Christ is to purify ourselves before Him. God sent Jesus into the world to redeem us. Christian liberty is not an excuse to live in sin.-The family inheritance takes on traits and character. As Christians, we must have outward fruit and we are to live holy lives. We should be constantly seeking God and His favor.

Paul's boast is in the Cross, this is his sincere desire. He relates to us what the cross has done for him. Our only boast is in the Cross.-This calls us to a high level of discipleship.-Paul refers not to the wooded cross, but to the doctrine of the atoning work of Christ.-For Paul, he only wants the cross to be his exclusive boast.-The Cross is a source of intense joy, every thing he rejoices in points back to the Cross.-Every privilege we have was bought by the Cross.-No one can boast in the Cross without a spiritual change, which is only possible through the Holy Spirit.
