Title- The Purpose of Worship-Speaker- Alexander M. Paunovic-Bible- Leviticus 10-3-Date- February 20, 2022--In order to worship God properly, we must know why we worship him. We worship him because he's worthy in and of himself. Worship is a declaration of God's worth. He's worthy of all our devotion, adoration, and obedience. We worship him also because of his works of creation and redemption. We should declare his glory because of what he's done. We should prioritize worship over everything else, because worship is the clearest declaration we can make of his glory.

I. Trials will happen -James 1-2--II. Trials will produce -James 1-3--Conclusion- Response to Trial -James 1-4--We as Americans often think we can do anything we want to do. Other words, we can achieve great things.-The world sees things one way-God sees it another.-When we face trials, this is an opportunity for our faith to grow. Trials may or may not come from sins committed, yet suffering is expected as a Christian.-God has a purpose in every trial. Trials are various in nature whereby we see God at work.-In internal trials, we are to examine our hearts. Trials will produce evidence of our faith, whereby impurities come out - the pure is left. Joy is the product that is left. Steadfastness-God purifying our hearts.-Pray to God asking He show us the impurities in our hearts which need to be sanctified.-We are to never separate our suffering from God. Jesus walks with us through the fire. He is our great High Priest.-Trials will always be part of our lives. They help us to endure future trials which are to come. Jesus is most aware of our trials and he asks us to repent so that we may be purified and later to be glorified -made perfect, complete, lacking nothing-.

Jesus uses the parables to get into us, to get behind us. Is change possible- Parables confront us about ourselves.-How does anyone know anything for sure--We think what we know is good for us.-The men in these parables find something of very great value.-Only things we love will change us. We must be careful what we love.-In other words we are what we love.-To be a better Christian we must love Christ more, we must fall more and more in love by way of His Word, prayer and fellowship with other believers. This is the way we value the Kingdom of God

Title- The Posture of Worship-Speaker- Alexander M. Paunovic-Bible- Leviticus 10-3-Date- January 23, 2022--God says, -I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me.- When we worship, we come near to God's special presence. This special presence is distinct from God's essential presence, which teaches us that God is present everywhere. Because we're in God's special presence in worship, we must sanctify the Lord in our hearts. This means we must -serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear- -Heb. 12-28-.

Jesus suffered -once- for sins. The primary reason Christ died is to bring us to God. His death fully satisfied God's wrath, nothing else is needed or necessary for our salvation. He died once for all.-He suffered for sin-past, present and future. We must remember that God' s wrath is an infinite wrath.-Again, Jesus suffered God's wrath to bring us to God--His purpose being to bring us to God.

Our society has two phases of hope- rubble - despair or a movement toward something-self-discovery. These phases are empty with nothing to build upon.-Romans 8 tells us to groan for the hope that is in heaven.-Do you live in between 2 ages- present - the future. In the present we have suffering and ordinary frustrations of suffering - death. In the future we see the glory of God. We are given the fruits of the spirit to have between the ages. We also have the victory of resurrection. -Do not place your hope in this world. Refuse despair. In the groaning of hope, we have incomplete salvation and should long for the future. Grab holt of Jesus Christ who is our hope in heaven. Wait eagerly- We must pray for patience for the gospel is what we have to rely on. -All of this is to conform us to Jesus so we may be earthly good. We can be instruments of mercy - holiness in the likeness of Christ.

In Galatians, Paul was astonished at how fast the Gospel was being distorted by false teachers. These teachers were having trouble letting -go of their old culture and ways. He warned if they could not adapt to the Gospel as presented, they were to be accursed.-Any error can be passed on as error and then to more error.-All is God's -Holy Spirits- work.

Title- Introduction to Public Worship-Speaker- Alexander M. Paunovic-Bible- Leviticus 9-Date- December 12, 2021--If you're in Christ, you have been saved in order to worship God. Therefore, we shouldn't only concern ourselves with -salvation issues,- but also with the proper way of worship. Leviticus introduces tabernacle worship. Worship is approaching God in order to commune with him. In the Old Testament, God instituted sacrifices and the priesthood. In the New Testament, he has revealed Jesus Christ as the perfect priest and the perfect sacrifice. We come to God through him.

Title- The Principle of Worship-Speaker- Alexander M. Paunovic-Bible- Leviticus 9-22-10-2-Date- December 19, 2021--God calls himself jealous over his worship, we must be careful to worship him only as he commands. Leviticus 9 and 10 give two pictures to illustrate this. Moses and Aaron do only what God has commanded, but Nadab and Abihu go beyond what God has commanded. God blesses Moses and Aaron- he punishes Nadab and Abihu. We embrace the Regulative Principle of Worship- in worship, we do only what God has commanded and we do not add to or take away from it.

We are called. God is Father, Lord, counselor, designer- He knows us from before birth. We need to glorify God. We do not do as we should.-We cannot earn salvation, but sanctification is part us and part the work of the Holy Spirit.-we do not prove to God that we are -good enough- for we are not. We all need to be cleansed.
