Each of us, deep in our hearts, has a desire to communicate with God. As young adults in our world today, we see the need-and we have the desire-to have a great prayer life. But how can we know our prayers are actually being heard and answered? Jesus in The Lord’s Prayer teaches us how.

To kick off this new series, we look at the prologue and first request of the model prayer Jesus gives us. It’s when we first know who we’re talking to that we then know what to ask for. When we know God is our loving Father, and we want His Name to be honored among all creation, we can know our prayers will be answered. We can communicate with the God of the Universe, who will listen to and answer our prayers.

We were never meant to do life alone. And yet, in our culture today, our generation is becoming increasingly isolated and lonely. It’s even been described as a “loneliness epidemic.” But it doesn’t have to be this way! In fact, we were made for real community. Community that is healthy, life-giving, and focused on deep relationships with others, and most-importantly, with God. And this type of community is often not found, it’s forged.

So to wrap up this series, the last thing we need to know about Christian community is that it's not just for those who are a part of it, but for those who aren't yet. We have a purpose, a reason, a goal to strive towards. And in John 17, in Jesus' "High Priestly prayer," we see that He is calling us as His community to unity, to share the gospel, and to experience God's glory as we gather together on mission to make disciples.

So far in this series, we’ve looked at what the Bible says is true about the people in this community. So in this message, Brent talks about what the Bible says should be true among the people in this community. In other words, what is the culture of Christian community? From Colossians 3, we see that it’s based on a new worldview, a new language, and a new way to dress.

A community built on the truth, love, and forgiveness of Jesus is going to be radically different from the rest of the world. And from the first description of the early Church in Acts 2:42-47, we see that devotion, generosity, regular worship, and seeing lives changed defines a community built on Jesus Christ.

Relationships (especially romantic ones) that are fulfilling and strong, regardless of whether you’re currently single, dating, engaged, or married? In other words, what is God’s design for relationships regardless of the season you’re in? Those are the questions we want to answer in this series!

In this last message of the series, our Young Adults Pastor, Brent Cummings, gives us what God's design is for a great marriage. If we want to have healthy & happy marriages that last for a lifetime, we have to look at how the creator of marriage - God Himself - says we should do it. Ultimately, His Word says that a godly marriage is a promise, a pursuit, and a picture - it points us to a better and truer marriage between Christ and His Bride, the Church.

Before being a godly husband, father, wife, or mother, what does it look like to be a man or woman after God's heart at the core of who you are? We switched up the format a bit on this one as Stephen and Amy team-teach and help answer that question as they talk about trusting God, taking care of others, and telling the truth.

Few subjects in Christianity have as much confusion, mystery, or just lack of knowledge around it as the topic of the Holy Spirit. So, in this series, we’re going to address it head-on, and explore what the Bible says about the oftentimes “forgotten” Third Person of the Trinity: God the Holy Spirit.

In this message, we wrap up our series by taking a look at what the Holy Spirit does THROUGH us. Once we know who He is & what He does, and how He produces the Fruit of the Spirit IN us, we learn that He also wants to work THROUGH us. He gives supernatural, spiritual gifts to every believer to “build up the body of Christ”, the Church. Which means, every Christian has a part to play in God’s purposes here on earth!
