How does faith change a person? How should someone who has been saved by Jesus Christ now live? This is what the book of James is all about.
As we continue this series through James, in this message, we’re looking at what James 4 tells us about how people of faith should live within the community of believers. Faith in Jesus doesn't just change a person individually, it changes a whole community. So as young adults who want to follow Jesus, how should we now relate to one another? God, through James, gives us three ways: 1) with a passion for God above all, 2) in humility, and 3) with the right perspective of the future.

This week at YA Night, we’re talking about the relationship between faith and good works. We’re really answering the questions: What is the difference between someone who just looks like a Christian on the outside, and someone who is actually a Christian on the inside? What’s the difference between faith that’s "alive," and faith that’s "dead?" What’s the difference between a demon, and someone who has saving faith in Jesus Christ? This is what James 2 is all about.

How does faith change a person? How should someone who has been saved by Jesus Christ now live? This is what the book of James is all about.
In this series, we’re diving into one chapter of the book of James each week to help answer that question. James is a highly practical book, focusing on how we as young adults who want to follow Jesus should live in our everyday lives. This week at YA Night, we look at James 1, and see that true, real faith in Jesus is a faith that works to keep us anchored in trials, resist temptations, and to show us who we really are.

In this message, we’re picking up where we left off last week as we begin 2024 “with the end in mind” - not just of the year, but of our lives here on earth, because “Eternity Matters.” As Christians, we know that there is life after death, and we can have the hope of spending eternity with God in Heaven IF we understand what it means to be saved.
So, in this series, we’re breaking down the three major aspects of salvation described in the theological terms of: justification, sanctification, and glorification. In this message, we’re looking at the third part: glorification.
