These two hosts have been on a long journey of healing after traumatizing marriages.  We discuss how we’ve made sense of our healing journeys and what has worked, what continues to stump us, and how we work hard to heal while managing business, private practice, and personal lives. We talk about our ups and downs and how we are moving forward.

This week we talk through each of our businesses and how our gender impacts the bottom line, the freedom we feel to share our experiences with others, and the pressure to “hustle”.  We talk honestly about our personal experiences in business and private practice, as well as the things we sacrifice on a daily or weekly basis in order to chase our dreams.

This week we are interviewing Molly Jensen, a renaissance woman, singer, songwriter, artist, voice-over actor, and beautifully honest human.  She shares a little about early childhood experiences and walks us through subjects that are often off limits or uncomfortable like masturbation, early childhood sexual abuse, and infidelity in marriage.  You’re going to love her honesty, her forthright way of seeing the world and the beautiful art she is making after an incredible story of healing.

We've got a bonus episode for you this week.  We just finished walking through Quincee's marriage and divorce and now we're talking through an awkward experience where Quincee's past relationship came rushing back into focus.  In the middle of this soulful journey, Quincee ran into her ex-husband on while boarding a cross-country flight and she's walking us through her emotional process, what she said to him, and how she's processing it in the aftermath.

This week, we jump into the long-term effects that growing up in a conservative Church background had on Quincee. We talk about the messages women receive about budding sexuality while growing up in religious environments. We talk seriously about the messages that LGBTQIA+ individuals receive in these environments and the unhealthy impact these messages has on mental, sexual and spiritual health. We discuss creating safe environments for all sexual identities, preferences, and orientations.

This week we take a deeper dive into the messages that women receive on the daily basis about distrusting their gut instincts.  We hear narratives about women being crazy, hysterical, or overreacting to situations.  This all leads us to feel like our gut instincts (the things that tell us that something just isn't right) have major flaws. This disrupts how we make every decision.  We are forced to move toward relying on others for validation or reassurance, rather than trusting ourselves.

This is an up close look at one woman's journey to understand her traumatic marriage as she looks back on her experiences and memories from eight years ago. She talks about why it's hard to talk about these things all these years later and what she is currently doing to actively heal from the trauma.

We take a deep dive into what body autonomy means for each of us and how this plays out in all of our relationships. We talk through how we take care of ourselves in our journeys towards taking control of our bodies.

In this episode, we talk through the body's reaction to trauma, how we can bravely tell our stories, and how to overcome some of the shame we experiences when the truth of our relationships are said out loud.  We are talking through ways community and support have been helpful to Erin as she made her way through really painful realizations after her marriage unraveled.
