Fiction Fixation

The perfect episode for a road trip. Settle in, because we are recapping The Hunger Games movie. Rose will never pass up an opportunity to talk about a Hemsworth brother. Courtney reveals her connection to the stars of the movie (and perhaps her *alleged* first kiss?). Join us for some hilarity as we unravel the insane dystopian world that honestly feels strangely familiar (is this really a news broadcast?).

Fiction fixation is a commentary podcast perfectly suited for lovers of fiction. It's meant to be light entertainment to anyone who has a love of romantic movies and novels (all sub-genres), improv comedy, reading books, binge watching movies, or just listening to two good friends banter and laugh. We aren't interested in reviewing books or rating movies, we just want to banter about the characters and the situations they find themselves in.

In this episode we recap the 2004 movie A Cinderella Story. Even though there's a more recent version, this gem stars Hilary Duff and features all of the early 2000s nostalgia we love. And also, there's a Wish.com Ken Doll who Rose has...quite a lot of things to say about.

In this episode we recap To All The Boys I Loved Before, a movie based on the book by Jenny Han. We enjoyed this movie for inexplicable reasons. Or maybe because it’s equal parts cute and cheesy, with a fake boyfriend that we would 1000% fake have babies with.

In this episode we recap The Fault In Our Stars, a movie based on the popular book by John Green. Did we cry watching this movie? A little. Did we laugh recording this episode? SO FREAKING MUCH. Too much. The amount of fun we had recording this episode is a red flag in itself. Join us on this emotional ride to hell, if you dare.

In this episode we recap the Dare You To Lie by Amber Lynn Natusch. This book would make an awesome movie. It's full of mysteries, twists and turns, and also a bad ass female lead who we are a little afraid of. Also, Rose reveals what she discovered during one weird, internet rabbit hole. This episode is sure to serve some laughs.

In this episode we recap The DUFF or…The Designated Ugly Fat Friend. It’s a fun movie with one of the cringiest montages we’ve ever seen. We.....don't... even know how to describe this episode, you'll have to listen to understand. Hope you enjoy!

Do you enjoy our longer episodes? Let us know!

In this episode we cover Fifty Shades of Grey, the movie. We wouldn't recommend taking a shot every time we say ‘red flag’ because you will probably pass out. The more toxic the man, the more hilarious fun we have recapping a story so...it should come as no surprise that this is our favorite episode to date.

Let us know what books or movies you'd like for us to cover! We are millennials and therefore afraid human interaction but we do have a contact form on our website www.fictionfixationpodcast.com

In this episode we recap the Netflix movie Set It Up starring Zoey Deutch, Glen Powell and maaaybe Pete Davidson???? Courtney apologizes to Pete (because he’s secretly in love with her and totally listens to our podcast).

Your Hosts combine forces to figure out (aka google) an alternative term for “*rooster* blocker.” As always hilarity ensues. If you’re enjoying our podcast, please leave a review and share with a friend!

In this episode we recap the sp!cy and often perplexing novel, Paper Princess by Erin Watt. Is it really surprising that Courtney would pick this book? Red flags are her cat nip. The whole thing is a true sausage fest and....eh, we weren’t mad at it.

In what is probably our favorite episode to date, we present our hilarious recap of the Netflix movie Mr. Right (which stars Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell). Mr. Right is multiple movies in one, and not a single one of them knows what’s going on. It’s so bad it’s good. An ugly baby, as Courtney would say. Hope you enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed recording!
