On January 7th, 2026 Renee Nicole Good was gunned down by in broad daylight by Jonathan Ross for the crime of serving as a community observer. That moment lit a fire in Minneapolis, and the people immediately began flooding the streets to direct that fire and to defend their city from these murderous thugs.

Our guest today, Mira Altobell-Resendez has been on the front lines of this fight. As an organizer in the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC), Mira describes the struggles being waged out in the streets of Minneapolis and the work MIRAC and the community has done to prepare for these struggles. As a member of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO), Mira also breaks down how these local fights are related to US imperialism at a global scale.

On December 9, 2025, organizers from the US touched down in Venezuela to participate in the International Peoples' Assembly for Sovereignty and Peace conference. This was in an effort to show solidarity and support the people of Venezuela and their fight for the sovereignty of their country. Jae Franklin was one of these organizers.

As a Black Queer organizer in Chicago, Jae serves as a co-chair of the Anti-War Committee Chicago, the Coalition Against the Trump Agenda, and is a member of the Freedom Road Socialist Organization. We had the honor of sitting down with Jae to discuss their first-hand experience of being in Venezuela, and to analyze the US shameful intervention in the country, and how the people of Venezuela and across the world are fighting back.

In the early morning hours of January 3, 2026, after this interview was recorded, explosions lit up the skies over Caracas at least seven times. US forces launched a coordinated attack on civilian and military sites across Venezuela including in Miranda, Aragua and La Guairá. President Nicolás Maduro and the First Lady Cilia Flores were kidnapped by U.S. military forces. Fight Back! Radio whole heartedly condemns this act of war, and we call upon all people of conscience to hit the streets and demand HANDS OFF VENEZUELA and FREE PRESIDENT MADURO!

Chicago, IL – 500 organizers convened at the Chicago Teacher’s Union Hall from Friday, November 14 through Sunday, November 16 for the 52nd anniversary national conference of the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (NAARPR).

The conference was the fourth of its kind since the refounding of NAARPR in 2019. It showcased the tremendous growth of the organization and its fighting capacity since its original founding in 1973 out of the movement to free Angela Davis. 530 people registered for the conference, representing 31 NAARPR branches and affiliate organizations.

We joined by Monique Sampson who serves as the treasurer of NAARPR, as well as organizer in the Jacksonville Community Action Committee and a rank-and-file leader in her teacher's union. Monique describes the mission and strategy of NAARPR, recaps the conference, and breaks down the struggles that NAARPR chapters and affiliates are waging across the country.

On Sept. 24, 2010, more than 70 FBI agents took part in a series of coordinated raids that were aimed at activists of the anti-war and international solidarity movements, and also members of Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO). In a bogus investigation of “material support of terrorism” charges, seven houses and an office in Minneapolis and Chicago were raided.

One of those houses was the home of Jess Sundin, a lifelong activist, a fighter in the anti-war movement, and a member of the Committee to Stop FBI Repression and the Twin Cities Coalition for Justice (TCC4J). Jess joins us today to recall the day she and her comrades were raided by the FBI, the immediate response from the committee, and to make it clear that the only correct response to FBI repression is standing up and fighting back.
